𝑮𝑶𝑶𝑫 𝑵𝑬𝑾𝑺: ILS receives AGAP Hall of Fame recognition for excellence in financial reporting

MABALACAT CITY, PAMPANGA – The Institute for Labor Studies’ (ILS) Finance and Administrative Division (FAD) has earned Hall of Fame recognition from the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP), marking three consecutive years of outstanding accounting performance that supports accurate financial reporting and accountability in the use of public funds.

The recognition was conferred on 20 October 2026 during the FY 2026 AGAP Annual Convention Seminar at the SMX Convention Center in SM City Clark, following FAD’s third consecutive Outstanding Accounting Office award for the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of its FY 2025 financial reports.

𝑮𝑶𝑶𝑫 𝑵𝑬𝑾𝑺: DOLE, PHILJA ink deal for National Academy of Labor Justice establishment

TAGAYTAY CITY - The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Philippine Judicial Academy (PHILJA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in developing the National Academy of Labor Justice (NALJ), which will train and develop professionals handling labor disputes and other labor justice functions.

Delos Santos signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 21, 2026, to establish a robust framework for professional education, capacity-building, research, and institutional development dedicated to supporting the National Academy of Labor Justice (NALJ).

Nilagdaan ni DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino at PHILJA Chancellor Justice Edgardo L. Delos Santos ang kasunduan upang palakasin ang National Academy of Labor Justice (NALJ) sa pamamagitan ng pagsasanay, pananaliksik, at professional development para sa mga labor justice practitioner.

Layunin ng pagtutulungang ito na mapahusay ang pagresolba sa mga usaping paggawa at matiyak ang mas mabilis, patas, at madaling ma-access na serbisyong panghustisya para sa mga manggagawa.

The Philippines, through the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), opened the 2026 ASEAN Green Jobs Forum on 19 October 2026 in Makati City, bringing together ASEAN Member States and key partners to advance practical solutions for creating green jobs, developing future-ready skills, and ensuring a just and inclusive transition for workers across the region.

Held under the Philippines’ ASEAN Chairship, the two-day forum provides a platform for governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations, training institutions, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), development partners, and civil society organizations to exchange policies, programs, and good practices that can help industries transition to greener operations while expanding employment opportunities. The forum was organized in collaboration with the Government of Australia through the Australia for ASEAN Future Initiatives and the ASEAN Secretariat.
