The meeting underscored efforts to address the land tenure concerns of Coast Guard Sub-Station Parañaque, including the Philippine Coast Guard’s (PCG) application for a Special Patent for Perpetual Use to secure its lawful and continuous occupancy of the property. The parties also discussed the proposed establishment of a Coast Guard Base in Manila Bay to enhance the PCG’s operational readiness and maritime security capabilities. The Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) expressed its support for these initiatives and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its partnership with the PCG in advancing maritime governance, coastal development, and national interests.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | On 15 May 2026, a Full-Scale Search and Rescue Exercise (𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐗) was successfully conducted to enhance inter-agency coordination, operational readiness, and emergency response capabilities during maritime search and rescue incidents. The Incident Management Team was led by 𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐌 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐏𝐂𝐆, Acting Commander, CGDNCR-CL, as Incident Commander, together with 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓 𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐀 𝐏𝐂𝐆, Acting Commander, CGS Manila, as On-Scene Commander.

During the exercise, the PCG deployed FPB-2401 together with the MARSLEG NCR-CL RHIB, SOG NCR-CL Rubber Boat, and PCGA RHIB to simulate coordinated maritime search and rescue operations in coordination with other participating agencies such as the PNP, PAF, and PN.

The activity was participated in by personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, and other concerned search and rescue units and partner agencies.

Coast Guard Station Manila remains steadfast in its commitment to uphold maritime safety, strengthen operational capability, and ensure immediate and effective response to maritime emergencies in support of the Philippine Coast Guard’s mandate of safeguarding life and property at sea.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: On 13 May 2026, Coast Guard Station Manila, led by 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓 𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐀 𝐏𝐂𝐆, Acting Commander, CGS Manila, participated in the 𝐏𝐫𝐞-𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐗 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 as the designated 𝐎𝐧-𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫, followed by an ocular visit at Dolomite Beach, the identified Incident Command Post for the conduct of the Philippine Search and Rescue Exercise, together with participating agencies and other PCG units.

The activity focused on reviewing operational procedures, defining roles and responsibilities, enhancing communication protocols, and strengthening inter-agency coordination during emergency response operations.

CGS Manila remains steadfast in enhancing its operational readiness and disaster response capabilities in support of maritime safety, maritime security, and the protection of life and property at sea.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: On 12 May 2026, 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐓 𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒 𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐀 𝐏𝐂𝐆, Acting Commander, Coast Guard Station Manila, presided over the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 initiated by the Station, held at Coast Guard Station Manila together with representatives from the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭–𝐍𝐂𝐑, 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜., and PCG Units including 𝐌𝐒𝐒𝐔 𝐍𝐂𝐑-𝐂𝐋, 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐆 𝐍𝐂𝐑-𝐂𝐋, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐆𝐋𝐔 𝐍𝐂𝐑-𝐂𝐋, to address the reported sea robbery incidents within the Manila Bay Anchorage Area.

The meeting served as a venue to sustain and strengthen the collaborative efforts initiated during the preliminary meeting conducted on 19 November 2025. Discussions focused on the enhancement of inter-agency coordination, identification of enforcement gaps, and implementation of effective measures to further improve maritime safety and security within Manila Bay.

CGS Manila remains steadfast in strengthening coordination and partnerships with maritime stakeholders and government agencies in promoting maritime safety, maritime security, and marine environmental protection within its area of responsibility.

The activity was conducted in line with the continuing commitment of CGS Manila to promote the health, welfare, and operational readiness of its personnel through preventive healthcare programs and services. The Hepatitis B Adult Catch-Up Immunization Activity specifically aimed to enhance health protection measures, minimize health-related risks among personnel, and ensure a more resilient and mission-ready workforce.

CGS Manila extends its sincere appreciation to the 124th PCG Auxiliary Squadron for its invaluable support and cooperation, which significantly contributed to the successful conduct of the activity and further strengthened collaborative efforts in advancing personnel welfare and public service excellence.

𝐕𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐏𝐑𝐀), together with other PRA representatives, held at PRA Conference Room, Legaspi Towers 200 Building, 107 Paseo de Roxas, Street, Legaspi Village, Makati City.

The meeting focused on reviewing the existing Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), land occupancy concerns, and compliance with regulatory requirements, including the proposed application for a Special Patent (SP) for perpetual use with DENR-NCR.
