The City of Manila continues to maintain its status as a trillion-peso economy, alongside fellow highly urbanized cities (HUCs) Makati City and Quezon City.
The milestone was highlighted during the presentation of the 2025 Economic Performance of HUCs, based on the Philippine Statistics Authorityโs Provincial Product Accounts (PPA), held on 06 October 2026 at the Hotel Lucky Chinatown, Manila, as part of the 37th National Statistics Month.
The presentation featured City Planning and Development Coordinator EnP. Engr. Eman Avengoza, who delivered brief remarks on Manilaโs economic performance.
This achievement reflects the collaborative efforts of the CPDO and the Bureau of Permits in providing and validating data that support evidence-based economic analysis and informed planning.
A stronger economy means greater opportunities and a more progressive, competitive, and resilient Manila. โจ
