Since I was young, I have taken on the role of a student leader, and throughout those years, I’ve come to realize that leadership is not defined by the title or the position it holds. It is more than that. Instead, it holds a great responsibility in making a difference, inspiring others, and being someone people can ask and look to for guidance.

Leadership for me is about service. It is about having the heart to fight, to listen, to speak, and to have the courage to move forward for everyone I represent. A leadership that strives to create a lasting impact.

Being part of AUSNA for two years has only deepened that belief. I’ve seen how true leadership creates space for growth and collaboration. That is the kind of leadership I want to embody, not just to continue what has been done, but to elevate and reinforce it.

Today, I stand before you, not just as a candidate for President, but as someone who is ready and dares to serve, represent, and lead with purpose.

Growing up, I’ve always found myself as someone who naturally connects with others. Whether in school or in our community, I’ve often been that person who, when left alone in a room, would be talking to someone by the time you return. That simple habit of reaching out shaped my view of leadership—not as a position of authority, but as a way of building trust and meaningful relationships.

Throughout my academic journey, from Junior High School to my time here at Adamson University, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in various roles—from class officer to student organization officer, from head of events & logistics to creative director, from facilitator to news writer, and many more. In each of these roles, I’ve learned that leadership is not about titles but about genuinely listening to people’s concerns, understanding their needs, and taking action to make a difference. I know it sounds cliché but leadership is indeed about creating a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

And as I reflect on my experiences—both as a student and a leader, I realize how much I’ve learned about the power of listening, serving, and connecting with others. With commitment in my heart and a deep desire to make a difference through my actions, I stand before you today, running for the position of 𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐆 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄. Through the T.A.Y.O. platform, I am committed to amplifying your voices, taking action on what truly matters, and creating opportunities for growth and unity within our Vincentian nursing community.

I’m Ichan, and I am for Vice President for Internal Affairs of the Adamson University Student Nurses Association. As a proud member of the Vincentian Student Nurses community, I am passionate about fostering unity, strengthening internal communication, and ensuring that every nursing student feels heard and supported. I have walked in your shoes, felt the weight of sleepless nights, and dared to dream alongside each of you.

In the quiet moments between lectures and clinicals, I have seen how deeply we all crave connection, how a simple act of being heard, a word of encouragement, or a moment of kindness can carry someone through their hardest day. As a proud Vincentian nursing student, I’ve felt the warmth of our community, but I’ve also seen where it hurts, where voices go unheard, and where silence fills the spaces where unity should live.

That’s why I’m here.

I am running because I believe every nursing student deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported, not just in triumph, but in struggle. I want to build bridges where there are gaps, open doors where they’ve been closed, and ensure that every heart in our community beats in rhythm with one another.

In my recent years, I have always been taught that being a leader is not just compelling someone to do their tasks or boss around. It's much more meaningful than that. It's been taught to me as someone who guides, direct, or influence a group of people towards a common goal.

In my stay in AUSNA, I saw how people lead, create, and be a voice to the nursing student body, and that is how I want to grow, not just as a student but as an aspiring Vice President for External Affairs. I have always doubted myself if I can take hold of the position, but now - more than ever - I am ready to take part of the role and be a voice to the students, not just on the inside, but also extending it outside the Adamson University.

Hi, I’m Francois Marie Monsanto and I’m running for Treasurer of AUSNA.

I’ll be honest—I wasn’t the most active student in the past years. But last year, I took a risk and joined AUSNA. That single decision changed a lot for me. I was given the chance to learn, grow, and discover the kind of leader I want to become. The experiences and lessons I’ve gained inspired me to do better and serve more.

There were times of doubt that made me want to ignore that call, but here I am taking a step towards that pull.

Since stepping into Adamson University as a freshman, the Adamson University Student Nurses (AUSNA) has been more than just an organization to me—it has been a home where I found growth, purpose, and family. For three consecutive years, AUSNA has shaped much of who I am today, instilling in me the heart to serve and the courage to lead.

Today, with a heart full of gratitude and after much reflection, I formally announce my decision to relinquish my candidacy for Vice President for External Affairs for the upcoming RSO election for the next academic year. This decision, made in mutual understanding and support with AUSNA, was not an easy one. It comes not from a place of farewell, but from a deep calling toward a greater responsibility that lies ahead—one that still emanates the spirit, dreams, and hopes we built together.

Let it be known too, that there is no division nor discord between myself and AUSNA. On the contrary, their unwavering faith and wholehearted support have strengthened my resolve to pursue this novel path. Every step I take forward is a continuation of the commitment we share: to serve, to represent, and to uphold the values that brought us together.

This decision is not solely mine—it is a collective journey we embark on, born out of a love for service that transcends titles and positions. AUSNA will always remain my home, my foundation, and my family. For everything I am and strive to be, I owe much to them.

With all humility and hope, I move forward carrying AUSNA in my heart, committed to the greater service we all aspire toward.

I also wish to extend my full and unconditional support to the candidates who continue to carry the torch of AUSNA’s endeavors. As a fellow student leader, and even as their senior, I have the deepest faith in their capabilities, passion, and integrity. I believe with all my heart, that with or without me, they will continue to lead AUSNA with the same spirit of excellence, compassion, and commitment that has always defined who we are and what we do.

My mission to represent you—AUSNA, our Vincentian Student Nurses, and the College of Nursing—does not end with the conclusion of my term as the AUSG Representative. In truth, it was never an ending; it was only the beginning of something bigger.
