𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦!

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines Reserve Officers’ Training Corps proudly congratulates Sgt Kyan Kathleen Dela Rosa PA (Res) on the successful completion of her Bachelor in Public Administration degree during the 2026 Commencement Exercises, held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City, on 22 September 2026.

For Sgt Dela Rosa, the call to service began long before her journey in the PUP ROTC. Her interest in military service was first sparked during her high school years through the Citizenship Advancement Training (CAT). That early experience eventually led her to the PUP ROTC, where her fascination with military service grew into a deeper commitment to discipline, leadership, and service beyond oneself.

Throughout her cadetship, Sgt Dela Rosa took on various leadership responsibilities within the Corps, serving as the Civil Military Operations Officer, as Corps Provost Marshal, and eventually as Corps Commander of Class SANIB-LAKAS. While fulfilling her responsibilities as a cadet, she tried to excel in the classroom, earning recognition as a President’s Lister and Dean’s Lister. She was also a recipient of various departmental awards, including Dunong ng Bayan, Lingkod-Iskolar ng Bayan, Linang ng Bayan, and Natatanging Pinunong Mag-aaral.

Her path reflects a simple yet meaningful belief: the uniform does not define the person; the person gives meaning to the uniform. Whether in military service, public administration, or any other field, there are different paths, different causes, and different ways of making a difference. What connects them is the willingness to use one’s strength, courage, knowledge, and voice in the service of others and the community.

Their commitment to freedom and justice serves as a timeless reminder that true heroism is defined not only by extraordinary acts, but also by an enduring dedication to serve others.

As reflected in this year's commemoration, the spirit of our heroes lives on—not only through the names written in history, but also through every Filipino who chooses integrity over convenience, service over self, and nation above all.

May their legacy continue to inspire us to become responsible citizens, compassionate leaders, and steadfast servants of the Filipino people.
