"On July 28, 2024, the Coast Guard Fleet organized a Fun Run along Roxas Boulevard, starting from Luneta Park and ending at Quirino Avenue. This event was part of the month-long celebration for the 17th CGFLEET Founding Anniversary.

Officers and Non-Officers of BRP FRANCISCO DAGOHOY (MMOV-5002), led by our Executive Officer, CG CAPT JOSE RONNIE T ONG JR, actively participated in the event with the goal of promoting a healthy and active lifestyle within CGFLEET units. The event aimed to foster unity among all CGFLEET personnel, working together towards common goals in line with the PCG vision of becoming a world-class guardian of the sea.

For the crew of BRP FRANCISCO DAGOHOY, this event served as an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their physical readiness and capabilities. Among the roughly five hundred (500) participants from different CGFLEET units, CG SN2 Efren A Bianzon Jr. achieved third place, while CG ASN Joseph Gerald B Choo and CG SN1 Stephen L Mamhot Jr secured the sixth and seventh positions, respectively.

The Commanding Officer praised the top ten finishers for their competitive spirit during the event, reflecting the tradition of excellence upheld by BRP FRANCISCO DAGOHOY."

The Commanding Officer reiterated to the DRG all safety protocols and procedures in evacuation operations. He also emphasized the patriotic duty of lending aid to our countrymen in this time of crisis.

Everyone is reminded to take appropriate measure to ensure safety and to get the latest weather updates and advisories.
