๐น๐ถ๐ซ ๐ถ๐ญ ๐จ๐บ๐ช๐ณ๐ฌ๐ท๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ - the center rod of asclepius in the class seal emphasizes protection and care amongst the members. Moreover, it highlights the humanitarian nature of the Coast Guard service - saving lives.
๐ฎ๐จ๐ป-๐ด๐จ๐บ๐จ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐จ๐ต - the "GAT-MASALIGAN" banner at the bottom of the seal stands as a monicker, meaning โGabay at Tanglaw - Matapat na Serbisyo para sa Ligtas na Karagatanโ. The word โGATโ symbolizes an honorific title for noble Filipino heroes who sacrifice their lives for the freedom and liberation of our countrymen. This is commemorated every November 30 - the class convening anniversary. Likewise, โMASALIGANโ suggests a local colloquial term for โtrustworthyโ.
