The Local Government Unit Compliance Assessment (LGU-CA) in the City of Manila was conducted on May 20, 2026, at the Manila Zoo Conference Room. This annual assessment aims to monitor and evaluate the Cityโs performance and compliance with environmental laws, policies, and standards.
Representatives from the City Government of Manilaโs key offices and departments were present during the assessment, including the Department of Environment and Public Services (DEPS), Manila Health Department (MHD), under the leadership of OIC City Health Officer Dr. Grace H. Padilla, Manila Urban Settlements Office (MUSO), Office of the City Councilor Lady Quintos, and the Office of the City Administrator, represented by Mr. Alfred Lacbayo.
The table assessment and onsite validation were successfully completed, covering the key areas of solid waste management, liquid waste management, and informal settler family concerns, in support of the continuing efforts toward the rehabilitation and preservation of Manila Bay.

On May 14, 2026, the City of Manila held a preparatory meeting for the May 20, 2026, conduct of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Clean-Up Rehabilitation and Preservation Program Local Government Units-Compliance Audit (MBCRPP-LGUCA).
Present during the meeting were Manila City Administrator Eduardo โWardeeโ P. Quintos XIV; City Director Marco Augusto G. Cabueรฑos, Jr. of the Department of the Interior and Local GovernmentโManila Field Office; and representatives from the Manila Department of Environment and Public Services, Manila Health Department, and Manila Urban Settlement Office.
The meeting focused on ensuring the Cityโs readiness for the compliance audit in support of the continued rehabilitation and preservation of Manila Bay.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government โ National Capital Region (DILG-NCR), through its Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED), successfully completed the 2026 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives Awards (LTIA), reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Katarungang Pambarangay implementation and promoting excellence in barangay-level conflict resolution across the region.
The 2026 LTIA Onsite Validation was conducted across seventeen (17) nominated barangays in the National Capital Region. The activity involved a comprehensive validation and documentary assessment of the nominated Lupong Tagapamayapa based on the criteria set forth under the LTIA Guidelines, including functionality, innovations, accomplishments, and records management.
This undertaking underscores DILG-NCRโs continuing commitment to uphold integrity, efficiency, and excellence in the implementation of Katarungang Pambarangay across the National Capital Region.

Led by the Office of the City Administrator, the City Government of Manila conducted a meeting with the members of the City of Manila Infrastructure Audit Team on May 7, 2026, at the Conference Room of the Office of the City Administrator. The meeting aimed to discuss the drafting and finalization of the Initial Report on the Infrastructure Audit pursuant to Executive Order No. 10.
During the meeting, LGOO III Raynald Kiel A. Lagmay presented an overview of the Infrastructure Audit Program, while Engineer II Brian Escabillas of the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) discussed the step-by-step process in using the Harmonized Infrastructure Audit Tool (HIAT), which will be utilized by the Infrastructure Audit Team in consolidating and validating infrastructure data.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the City Engineering Office, City Planning and Development Office, MCDRRMD, and the City General Services Office. Discussions also covered coordination mechanisms, timelines, and the responsibilities of the concerned offices for the completion of the Initial Infrastructure Audit Report.

4 May 2026 | Resolution No. 2 (Series of 2026) of the Manila Peace and Order Council, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FFCCCII) for its generous support to the City Government of Manila.
The resolution recognizes FFCCCIIโs donation of three (3) Toyota Hilux pick-up trucks and thirty (30) Yamaha NMAX scooters, which significantly strengthen the cityโs patrol, response operations, and overall peace and order and public safety initiatives.

On April 29, 2026, the FishCA Regional Validation Team (RVT) conducted a table assessment at the Manila Zoo Conference Room in the City of Manila. The team also carried out interviews with local fisherfolk in Barangay 649, Baseco, Port Area.
The Fisheries Compliance Audit (FishCA) is a national assessment that evaluates the compliance of coastal local government units in the implementation of fisheries laws, coastal resource management policies, and environmental regulations within their respective municipal waters.
Represented by the Department of Environment and Public Services (DEPS), the City Government of Manila recognizes its responsibility to protect and preserve coastal resources, support the continuing rehabilitation and preservation of Manila Bay, and promote sustainable environmental practices.
