Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) continue to affect over 1 billion people worldwide, especially in vulnerable and underserved communities. In the Western Pacific Region, around 142 million people still need protection and intervention.
As public servants and defenders of the nation, safeguarding health is part of our mission. Preventing NTDs through surveillance, sanitation, early treatment, and community engagement strengthens not only our people but our national readiness.

Neglected tropical diseases are a group of 21 conditions affecting over 1οΈβ£ billion people in some of the worldβs poorest regions. In the Western Pacific Region, an estimated 142 million people, who are mostly vulnerable and impoverished, require interventions against neglected tropical diseases in the Western Pacific Region.

The World Health Organization reminds us that a healthy diet starts with variety and balance.
Choose more:
π Fruits and vegetables
πΎ Whole grains
π« Pulses, nuts, and seeds
π Lean meat, fish, and dairy (in moderation)
Aim for:

Adequacy β enough nutrients

Balance β protein, fats, and carbs
β
Moderation β less sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats
β
Diversity β different food groups
Remember: individual nutrition needs may vary. Letβs make smart food choices for better health and performanceβon duty and off duty. π΅ππ
For healthy diets, eat a variety of minimally processed and unprocessed foods to ensure you get enough essential micronutrients while reducing unhealthy fats, sugars and salt.
π₯π«ππ₯ Choose fruits, vegetables, whole grains, pulses, nuts and seeds with limited to moderate amounts of animal source foods such as fish, lean meat and dairy.
Aim for:

βοΈ Diversity (different food groups).
