𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪?

𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 and 𝘾𝙤𝙥𝙮𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝘿𝙖𝙮 is celebrated every April 23rd to honor the entire book industry—from authors and publishers to libraries and booksellers. This day celebrates the power of books to unite people across different generations and cultures. It also highlights the importance of copyright laws in protecting the intellectual property of creators.

Since 1995, UNESCO has selected a "𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡" each year to lead these celebrations. The event is a significant occasion to recognize authors, strengthen the publishing industry, and promote reading habits worldwide.

𝙈𝙋𝘾𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨, 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝘿𝙖𝙮? You might want to buy a new book from a nearby shop, donate your old ones, or support local authors by joining online campaigns. You could also revisit an old favorite or start something completely new.
After all, books are like windows that allow us to step into different worlds, adventures, and perspectives.

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 12103, April 16 is a special nonworking holiday in Marikina City. Consequently, there will be no work or classes at Marikina Polytechnic College on this date.

Offices will be closed, and all academic activities are suspended. Onsite transactions are scheduled to resume on April 20, 2026 (Monday).

In celebration of the Charter Day Anniversary of Marikina Polytechnic College, all onsite transactions are temporarily suspended and classes will shift to asynchronous mode on April 14, 2026 (Tuesday).

Regular operations will resume on April 15, 2026 (Wednesday).

All graduating students are advised to complete the Library Survey prior to visiting the library for clearance signing.

Please ensure that your bound thesis has been submitted before requesting clearance.

Kindly be reminded that once your clearance has been signed, access to library services will no longer be available.
