Keep Your Pets and Livestock Safe ✔️👍🏻

🐕 For Pets (dogs, cats, small animals):
1. Keep them indoors – Bring pets inside before the storm hits. Don’t leave them tied or caged outside.
2. Prepare an emergency kit – Food, water, medicine, leash, carrier, vaccination records, and first aid supplies.
3. Secure identification – Collar with ID tag or microchip in case they get lost.
4. Safe space – Provide a quiet, dry, and comfortable area inside your home where they feel secure.
5. Travel readiness – Have a pet carrier or cage ready if you need to evacuate.

🐄 For Livestock (cattle, goats, pigs, poultry, etc.):
1. Relocate to higher ground – Move animals away from low-lying or flood-prone areas.
2. Secure shelter – Ensure barns, pens, or coops are strong, dry, and well-ventilated but safe from strong winds.
3. Stockpile feed and water – Keep at least 3–5 days’ supply in waterproof containers.
4. Avoid tying animals – Give them space to move freely in safe enclosures; tied animals are more at risk.
5. Mark animals – Use ear tags, paint, or other identification in case they are displaced.
6. Check for hazards – Remove sharp objects, weak tree branches, or loose wires that can injure animals during strong winds.

Thank you for you compassion however, when asking to rescue and donating to a rescue, do include basic vetting, Distemper, Parvo and blood parasite tests. That is the most BASIC requirement.
Shelter owners, DO NOT ACCEPT DOGS WITHOUT BASIC VETTING. HAVE YOUR DOGS AND CATS FULLY VACCINATED AS THE MORE ANIMALS YOU HAVE, THE MORE SICKENSS, VIRUSES AND BACTERIA YOU WILL ATTRACT.

TRANSPORT RIDERS, CONVINCE YOUR DONORS TO DO WHAT I STATED ABOVE BEFORE FBRING THE ANIMALS TO SHELTERS.

THIS IS WHY I BELIEVE IN SHELTER REGULATION. THE ANIMALS ALWAYS PAY THE HIGHEST PRICE.

AND EVEN IF YOU DO EVERYTHING, IT IS NO ASSURANCE THAT ALL WILL BE OK.

ISOLATION IS AT LEAST 2 WEEKS TO A MONTH."
