October 06, 2026 - Did you know?

Firefighters rely on specialized radios called "two-way radios" or "portable tranceivers" to communicate during operations?
These radios are built to:
- Withstand heat, water, and impact.
- Operate on dedicated emergency frequencies to avoid interference.
- Work with headset inside helmets so firefighters can talk clearly even in noisy environments.
- Some modern systems even include GPS tracking and data sharing, helping command centers monitor firefighter locations in real time for safety.
