Ipinag-utos ng Land Transportation Office (LTO), sa pamumuno ni Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, ang agarang pag-isyu ng subpoena laban sa isang motorcycle vlogger na umanoโ€™y gumawa ng Show Cause Order (SCO) ng ahensiya na walang pahintulot at maaaring magbigay ng maling impresyon na ito ay isang opisyal na kautusan ng LTO.

Batay sa impormasyon na natanggap ng LTO, isang viral post sa page na โ€œLuciverโ€ ang naglalaman ng isang umanoโ€™y SCO at iba pang kaugnay na nilalaman na nagmumukhang opisyal na inilabas ng ahensiya. Dahil dito, agad na nagsagawa ng kaukulang aksyon ang LTO upang beripikahin ang pangyayari at tiyaking mapangalagaan ang integridad ng mga opisyal na dokumento at proseso ng ahensiya.

Sa inilabas na subpoena, inaatasan ang naturang vlogger na humarap sa Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) sa LTO Central Office para sa isang clarificatory conference upang magpaliwanag kaugnay ng nasabing post.

Ayon kay Assistant Secretary Lacanilao, mahalagang mapanagot ang sinumang mapapatunayang gumagamit o nagpapakalat ng mga dokumentong maaaring magdulot ng kalituhan sa publiko at makasira sa kredibilidad ng mga opisyal na proseso ng gobyerno.

โ€œAng paggawa o pagpapakalat ng pekeng dokumento na nagpapanggap na opisyal na inilabas ng LTO ay isang seryosong usapin. Hindi natin hinahayaang magamit ang pangalan at awtoridad ng ahensya para sa pansariling interes o para lamang sa content. Hindi kukunsintihin ng LTO ang anumang gawain na nagdudulot ng kalituhan o maling impormasyon sa publiko. Mahalaga na mapanatili ang tiwala ng publiko sa mga dokumento at proseso ng ating ahensiya,โ€ pahayag ni Lacanilao.

Patuloy namang pinaaalalahanan ng LTO ang publiko na tiyaking mula lamang sa mga opisyal na plataporma at tanggapan ng ahensiya ang kanilang pagbabatayan ng impormasyon upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng maling balita at mga mapanlinlang na nilalaman.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 1 Regional Internal Audit Section (RIAS) successfully facilitated and monitored the turnover of accountabilities and responsibilities at the LTO Rosales District Office, reaffirming the agency's commitment to transparency, accountability, and efficient public service.

Today, June 1, 2026, a proper turnover of accountabilities and responsibilities was conducted at the LTO Rosales District Office from the outgoing Acting Supply Officer to the incoming Acting Supply Officer. The activity was witnessed by RIAS personnel to ensure a smooth transition of duties, proper documentation of accountabilities, and the uninterrupted continuity of office operations and services.

Under the guidance of DOTr Acting Secretary Atty. Giovanni Z. Lopez and LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. In support of the administrationโ€™s commitment to bringing government services closer to the people, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region I conducted an evaluation and inspection today, June 1, 2026, for the proposed establishment of an LTO Extension Office pursuant to the request of Hon. Josh Edward S. Cobangbang, Municipal Mayor of Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, through a letter dated April 28, 2026.

The initiative forms part of the continuing efforts of the Marcos Administration to enhance public access to essential government services, particularly in underserved and geographically distant communities. It reflects President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.โ€™s directive to ensure that government programs and services remain accessible, efficient, and responsive to the needs of every Filipino.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Binalonan District Office conducted a Visual Motor Vehicle Inspection in Manaoag, Pangasinan on 30 May 2026 as part of its continuing commitment to uphold road safety and ensure that only compliant and roadworthy vehicles are allowed to operate on public roads.

The activity was carried out in line with the directive of President Ferdinand โ€œBongbongโ€ R. Marcos Jr., and under the guidance of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Acting Secretary Atty. Giovanni Z. Lopez and LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao. The LTO Region 1 Regional Internal Audit Section (RIAS) Team successfully conducted audit activities at the LTO San Carlos District Office, culminating in an exit briefing held on May 28, 2026. The activity marked the conclusion of four days of thorough checking and validation of financial, operational, and property accountabilities, ensuring compliance with existing policies, procedures, and standards of the agency.

The exit briefing proved to be both productive and insightful, as the RIAS Team shared their observations, findings, and recommendations aimed at further improving the officeโ€™s systems and operations. Today, May 28, 2026, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region I, together with the Technical Working Group of the LTO Central Committee on the Establishment of Extension Offices, Licensing Extension Offices, and Driverโ€™s Licensing Renewal Offices, conducted an on-site inspection of the LTO Burgos District Office in Burgos, Ilocos Norte.

The inspection forms part of the officeโ€™s request to expand its services to include the processing and acceptance of applications for New Driverโ€™s Licenses, as well as other miscellaneous transactions. On May 27, 2026, the LTO Batac District Office successfully conducted a Road Safety and Defensive Driving Seminar for personnel of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) at Brgy. Magnuang, City of Batac, Ilocos Norte. The activity was conducted upon the request of Jail Chief Inspector Mr. Ulyssiss Paredes as part of their continuing efforts to enhance road safety awareness among their personnel.

The seminar was attended by a total of 29 personnel, composed of 4 female and 25 male participants, who actively participated in the discussions on defensive driving techniques, road courtesy, traffic rules and regulations, and accident prevention measures.

In line with the directive of President Ferdinand โ€œBongbongโ€ Marcos Jr. to strengthen road safety and enhance public service delivery, and under the guidance of Department of Transportation (DOTr) Acting Secretary Atty. Giovanni Z. Lopez and Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao, the LTO San Fernando District Office successfully concluded its two-day Free Theoretical Driving Course (TDC) held in Brgy. Darigayos, Luna, La Union on May 26โ€“27, 2026.

The activity was participated in by residents from five barangays, including senior citizens and barangay officials, reflecting strong community engagement in road safety education.

Led by LTO Region I Regional Director Glorioso Daniel Z. Martinez and Assistant Regional Director Engr. Eric C. Suriben, the initiative forms part of the agencyโ€™s continuing efforts to strengthen road safety awareness and deliver accessible, community-based driver education programs across the region.

The Free TDC aimed to equip aspiring drivers and community members with essential knowledge on traffic laws and regulations, road signs and markings, defensive driving, road courtesy, and responsible driving practices. It likewise emphasized discipline, accountability, and compliance with traffic rules to ensure safer roads for all motorists and pedestrians.

Participants actively engaged in the sessions, showing strong interest and appreciation for the governmentโ€™s initiative in promoting responsible and law-abiding driving. The involvement of senior citizens and barangay officials further underscored the important role of community leaders in advancing road safety awareness at the grassroots level.

The successful conduct of the program reflects LTO Region Iโ€™s commitment to bringing government services closer to the people through accessible and meaningful public service initiatives. Through the Free TDC, the agency continues to empower communities by providing essential driver education that contributes to safer roads and more responsible motorists.

The LTO San Fernando District Office also expressed its gratitude to the participating barangays and local officials for their support and cooperation, which contributed to the success of the activity. It reaffirmed its commitment to sustain and expand programs that promote road safety, discipline, and responsible driving culture.
