On May 13, 2026, the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) and City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) convened for its 1st Quarter Joint Meeting to present the 2026 POPS Plan Financial Accomplishment Report, along with the discussion of the 1st Quarter 2026 accomplishments, challenges, and other peace and order updates.

The meeting was presided over by Mayor Hermenegildo A. Gualberto with Atty. Patrick Jorge C. Sibayan CLGOO and Councilor Ramon F. Laudencia, with the participation of representatives from various partner agencies, offices, and stakeholders committed to strengthening peace, public safety, and anti-drug initiatives in the city.

Conducted every quarter, the Joint CPOC-CADAC Meeting of San Fernando City serves as a vital platform for collaboration, coordination, and strategic planning in addressing the cityโ€™s pressing concerns, particularly in maintaining peace and order and intensifying efforts against illegal drugs.

The DILG City of San Fernando, in coordination with the Accounting Office, Budget Office, Treasury Office, and LYDO Office, conducted an orientation on the preparatory activities for the turnover of Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) leadership on April 8, 2026, at Bunog Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The activity aimed to strengthen readiness, enhance inter-office coordination, and uphold a collective commitment to ensuring a smooth, orderly, and effective leadership transition within the communities.

The DILGโ€“City of San Fernando, La Union successfully conducted the Validation and Assessment of Kalinisan sa Bagong Pilipinas and the Barangay Road Clearing Operations for the 1st Quarter of 2026 on April 14โ€“16, 2026. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the BFP, PNP, CENRO, CSOs, OPS, and the City Government of San Fernando.

The activity covered on the TOP BARANGAYS, 18 out of 59 barangays of the City of San Fernando (Sacyud, Cabarsican, Masicong, Pao Norte, Pao Sur, Bato, Mameltac, Nagyubuyuban, Puspus, Calabugao, Bangbangolan, Apaleng, Siboan-Otong, Narra Este, Birunget, Bungro, San Vicente, and Dallangayan Oeste).

This joint effort highlights the continued commitment of all stakeholders in promoting clean, safe, and orderly communities, ensuring compliance with national policies and strengthening local governance.
