The 405th Community Defense Center marked another milestone as Col. Roberto Q. Beatisula Jr., PA formally turned over command to Col. Melgeval B. Hilao, PA in a ceremony held at Headquarters 405th CDC, Sitio Namay, Brgy. San Juan, Morong, Rizal.
The event brought together the dedicated personnel of the 405th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, the 1st RRFAB and 5FAB headed LTC CHRISTIAN AGONOS, PA, along with friends and stakeholders, who witnessed the solemn and historic transition of leadership.
Col. Beatisula, the outgoing commander, was honored with various awardsβtestaments to his steadfast dedication in fulfilling the unitβs mission. In his message, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who became instruments of success during his tenure.
Meanwhile, Col. Hilao accepted the designation with pride and honor, reflecting on how the province of Rizal shaped his journey. He affirmed his commitment to give back and to continue advancing the mission of the 405th CDC.
Presiding over the ceremony, Col. Rustico V Villanueva, PA underscored the enduring message of the occasion:

TANAY, RIZAL β 1st Rizal Ready Reserve Field Artillery Battery (1RRRFAB) of 405th (Rizal) Community Defense Center, 4th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army undergoes individual and unit certification, spearheaded by 1RRRFABtry's Executive Officer - 2LT DINDO L SAN BUENAVENTURA PA (RES). The said certification was facilitated by 5th Field Artillery Battalion (5FAB) through its Battalion Certification Committee (BCC) as part of the Artillery Regiment's Reserve Integration Concept.
On 01 February 2026 at the Battalion Headquarters, the certification was more than a series of tests; it was a showcase of the 1RRRFABtry's evolution, demonstrating that the 1RRRFABtry can handle the complex systems and high-pressure environments of field artillery. Integrated with their regular force counterparts, the 1RRRFABtry stood out as a testament to the Artillery Regiment's vision with the reinforcement of 5th Field Artillery Battalion. The certification ensures that when the call comes - whether for defense or disaster β qualified manpower of 1st Rizal Ready Reserve Field Artillery Battery is already equipped and standing by with professional competence.

STRENGTHENING ARTILLERY READINESS: 5FAB CONCLUDES JOINT FIELD ARTILLERY ORIENTATION TRAINING FOR FA READY RESERVE UNITS
TANAY, RIZAL β In line with the Artillery Regimentβs thrust to build a highly capable and mission-ready Reserve Force, the 5th Field Artillery Battalion (5FAB) successfully facilitated the Joint Closing Ceremony of the Field Artillery Orientation Training (FAOT) of the 1st Rizal Ready Reserve Field Artillery Battery (1st RRRFABtry) and the 1st Nueva Ecija Ready Reserve Field Artillery Battery (1st NERRFABtry) held on, 18 January 2026, at 5FAB Masinag Hall.
The Field Artillery Orientation Training was conducted through a combination of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Face-to-Face (F2F) training activities from 13 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. Designed to strengthen the operational foundation of artillery reservists, the training focused on familiarizing participants with field artillery organization, roles, and basic gunnery concepts in support of the Philippine Armyβs goal of developing a world-class, multi-mission ready, and cross-domain capable force.
A total of eighty-four (84) enlisted personnel successfully completed the training, composed of forty-four (44) personnel from the 1st NERRFABtry and forty (40) personnel from the 1st RRRFABtry. Their consistent participation throughout the training period reflected their dedication to professional development and readiness to augment active-duty artillery units when called upon.
The closing ceremony was graced by Colonel Archie A. Ares GSC (Art) PA, Chief of Staff, Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS). The program included the pinning of the King of Battle Tab and the awarding of certificates to the graduating reservists, marking their formal induction into the Artillery community and signifying the Artillery Regimentβs trust and confidence in their competence, professionalism, and readiness to assume the responsibilities inherent to the profession of arms. In his message, COL Ares underscored the critical role of artillery reservists in national defense and emphasized the importance of discipline, technical competence, and continuous training in ensuring operational effectiveness and force integration.
The activity concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment from both reserve units to uphold the values of Honor, Patriotism, and Duty, further strengthening the Artillery Regimentβs reserve integration efforts and overall operational readiness.

TANAY, RIZAL: 1st Rizal Ready Reserve Field Artillery Battery (1RRRFAB), 405TH CDC, 4RCDG, RESCOM, PA successfully capped-off the year with the high-impact Capacity Building session on FDC Procedures facilitated by the expert personnel from 5th Field Artillery Battalion (5FAB). 1RRRFAB underwent rigorous lectures and practical exercises focused to sharpen the knowledge and technical skills of our reservists during the monthly mustering. Held last 28 December 2025 at the 5FAB Headquarters in Tanay, Rizal.
This activity ensures that we remain a highly capable and responsive force for the Philippine Army's defense preparedness.
