At least silver lining nalang is ekis ka na next time.

KONSI ALLAN CAMILON

Sorry long post ahead po ah..

Ilan days na nakakalipas since umuwi na kay Lord ang ating magaling na konsehal at aking kaibigan na si Konsi Allan Camilon at deeply affected pa rin ako.

Pasensya na to the family and lahat na very close and nagmamahal kay Konsi Allan, I cannot begin to imagine the heartache and sadness you are going through right now kaya I feel like baka hindi for me to use the words ‘deeply affected’. My sincerest condolences po to all. We all love Konsi Allan and ang totoo po is I am deeply affected.

9 years in the City Council. All my 9 years kasama ko si Konsi Allan. I know mas matagal na nagserve si Konsi sa bayan, mula pa pagiging SK and then 2 complete 9-year terms as a City Councilor kaya nasa tail end na ng political career ni Konsi Allan ko siya nakasabay. Pero still…9 years. Pagpasok ko ng politics, sabay kami. Paglabas namin politics, sabay rin kami. Through challenges and victories, we were always comrades kasi we share the same values, same faith in our present administation, same passion to always find ways to make our City better.

Passion…yan po ang one thing ang lagi naiisip ko pagnaalala ko so Konsi Allan. One time habang nasa public session kami, nagsalita siya sa podium. Hindi ko na matandaan kung ang yung topic ng discussion namin pero ang naalala ko lang is nagbigay siya ng impromptu passionate speech in response dun sa pinaguusapan namin and sa huli ng mahabing sinabi niya, nagsoften voice niya and sabi niya (not verbatim) “Pasensya na kayo ah. Medyo tumatanda na ata ako. Nagiging maiksi na ata pasensya ko sa tagal na rin ko sa pulitika. Gusto ko lang sana maayos lahat para naman sa mga kababayan natin ito.”

Yan si Konsi Allan. People say na magaling siya na konsehal. Mabait na konsehal. Big loss siya sa Muntinlupa. Totoo po iyan lahat. I cannot remember yung pinaguusapan namin that day pero naalala ko what he made me feel. Narealize ko na malalim talaga yung pagmamahal niya sa City, sa Muntinlupa at sa lahat ng pinaglilingkuran niya. Mahal niya kayo lahat, Muntinlupenos. Hindi yun fake, hindi yun pakitang tao. Kaya rin siguro literally halos buong buhay niya is nasa government siya kasi may burning passion siya tumulong sa bayan.

Si Konsi ay quiet, soft-spoken and unassuming. But pagnakilala mo siya more personally, marerealize mo talaga that he is very opinionated, passionate (whether sa work niya as a public servant, a pilot, a biker, a traithlete or even sa hilig kumain especially seafood) and most importantly very loving and loyal- kay Lord, sa family niya, to his closest friends like Mayor, Cong and to all of us..

Sorry mahaba na ito but I just have a few more things to say.

I don’t know why. Pero everytime may nagtatanong sa akin questions about the councilors, si konsi Allan talaga lagi ko unang-una naiisip. Pag may nagtanong, sino-sino ba mga konsehal ng Muntinlupa, ang lagi una ko binabanggit is “Allan Camilon”. Or pag may nagtanong, sino sino nagattend session or sino kasama niyo sa hearing or sa meeting or sa session or kung anuman, lagi unang pumapasok sa isip ko si Konsi Allan. I really don’t know why. But I’ve been thinking the past few days and I realized, subconsciously in my mind, siya ang unang-unang gusto ko ipagmalaki na konsehal ng Muntinlupa - genuine, responsible, punctual, hard-working, patriotic..and yet, simple lang.

Simple manamit, simple magsalita, isa sa pinakamaliit sa amin sa council physically kasi ang payat niya but….somehow… to me, he is larger than life.

The brightest stars burn out the fastest. He was one of the brightest stars of our City. And I’m proud to have served the City with him.

Pare, thank you. Mahal ka namin lahat. You know that. We’ll see each other again pare, for sure yan. When that time comes, sama na ako sa mga biking niyo ah. But for now, enjoy ka muna sa great big adventure mo with the Lord. We know you are now happy and at peace with the Lord but we will keep praying for you and ikaw rin pray for us.

P.S. To the family and friends who made it possible for the viewing of Konsi Allan to be in City Hall, thank you. I feel like it’s just fitting for him as a lifelong genuine servant leader of Muntinlupa ❤️
