LOOK: Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. officially took his oath of office as the 32nd Chief of the Philippine National Police after being conferred the rank of four-star general, in a ceremony administered by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. earlier today, January 28, 2026.
As he assumes the highest post in the PNP, PGen Nartatez brings forward his PNP Focused Agenda, which prioritizes the effective management of resources, enhanced management police operations, integrity monitoring, improved morale and welfare of personnel, and strengthened community partnerships, reinforcing the PNP’s commitment to professional, responsive, and people-centered policing.
