EL NIÑO ADVISORY

As per DOST-PAGASA Advisory and Outlook (https://pagasa.dost.gov.ph/climate/el-nino-la-nina/advisories), Negros Island Region that includes Murcia will experience Dry Condition by the end of December 2026 with rainfall below normal for two (2) consecutive months. By the end of January 2027, we will endure the Dry Spell with rainfall below normal for three (3) consecutive months. And by February 2027 and March 2027, DROUGHT will be experienced including the other 78 and 84 provinces respectively with rainfall below normal for five (5) consecutive months.

Hence, all are advised to take precautionary measures to reduce the impacts of this hazard. Ensure Water and Food Security, Health and Heat Safety, and Public and Community Readiness. Among others, conserve/reuse water, cross-ventilate/insulate your houses, plant drought-resistant crops, use rotational irrigation, stay hydrated, and prepare your Go Bags.*
