3 October 2026 | Pechelitos, San Felipe
To officially launch Cooperative Month 2026, cooperatives of Naga gathered at Pechelitos, San Felipe for a symbolic Tree Planting and Parenting Activity. This event served as an introductory gesture to the month-long celebration, underscoring the cooperatives' collective commitment to sustainability, unity, and the care of both community and environment.
The activity was led by Engr. Danilo Cea from the Environmental and Natural Resources Office (ENRO), who shared valuable techniques for planting seedlings that will nurture future generations. Participants were guided on the careful removal of seedlings from plastic pots, with instructions given to handle the plants gently and preserve the roots before they were placed into the soil.
After the planting activity, a sense of camaraderie was fostered by a raffle that was organized by City Cooperatives Development Officer JP Buendia. Excitement was felt in the air as complimentary Lead ECG Services vouchers from Bicol Cardiovascular Diagnostic Cooperative (BCDC) were claimed by lucky winners, showcasing the commitment of the cooperatives to environmental care and the health of their members.
The eventโs significance was amplified by the active participation of various cooperatives, including MAFCOOP, Golden Blue Consumers Cooperative, FACCS, BETCO, SAFADECO, CAPATRANSCO, Paglaom Credit Cooperative, GBCC, Unified Labors Cooperative, MSHECC, MNWD Employees Multipurpose Cooperative, SIDECO, NATCCO, PTTSC, MONCTRANSCO, SAFETRANSCO, Casureco II MPC, and Marhay na Gibo Consumers Cooperative.
