On September 18, 2026, our ALS Learning Facilitators gathered for another meaningful Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session focused on strengthening our understanding and practice of assessment and grading in basic education.
🎯 Mrs. Jea Marie L. Matunhay, our first speaker, discussed the Revised Classroom Assessment, highlighting the different types of assessment that teachers may conduct before, during, and after the learning process. The session emphasized how assessment can help teachers better understand learners’ needs, monitor their progress, and provide appropriate support.
📊 Mrs. Jona A. Morte, the second speaker, discussed the Revised Grading System, Awards, and Recognition in Basic Education. She highlighted the important changes in the grading system across the different key stages, helping teachers gain a clearer understanding of how learners’ performance and achievements are assessed and recognized.
Through sessions like this, our Learning Facilitators continue to learn, reflect, and improve their practices—ensuring that our learners receive meaningful, fair, and responsive assessment. 💙
