The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Cavite actively participated in the National Housing Authority (NHA) People’s Caravan held on May 26, 2026, at Malainen Bago Integrated School in Rancho Verde 2, Brgy. Malainen Bago, Naic, Cavite. Carrying the theme “Serbisyong Dala ay Pag-asa,” the activity aimed to bring essential government services closer to communities.
DTI Cavite, led by Provincial Director Lilibeth R. Chavez, together with CPD Division Chief Rexel B. Amparo, TIDS Renmarc Juangco, NC-TIDS Allen Jay Sablayan, and Business Counselors Joenel Barcial and Patrick Hilom, delivered DTI Cavite's frontline services to residents of NHA housing projects in Naic.
Among the services provided by DTI Cavite were business name registration, business advisory and consultancy, and consumer welfare advocacy consultation. The team also distributed IEC materials to help raise awareness on entrepreneurship opportunities, consumer rights, and business development programs.
Through its participation, DTI Cavite continues to bring entrepreneurial support and consumer welfare services closer to communities, ensuring that residents are both empowered and protected.

On May 22, 2026, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Cavite, in partnership with SM City Imus, successfully conducted a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Seminar/Workshop for SM Imus tenants. The activity aimed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to prepare for, respond to, and recover from potential business disruptions.
The seminar emphasized risk management, contingency planning, and business resilience to ensure operational continuity during emergencies. Participants were guided in identifying risks and developing practical strategies to minimize downtime and sustain their businesses.
Mr. John Paulo Panerio, Trade-Industry Development Analyst, introduced the fundamentals of BCP, highlighting its importance in business preparedness. Mr. Ruy B. Manaog, Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist, discussed key BCP components and facilitated the workshop, where participants developed continuity plans tailored to their operations
The activity highlights the value of proactive planning and public-private collaboration in building resilient business communities.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cavite, in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Cooperatives Development Officer, successfully conducted the first session of the 2026 OTOP Next Gen: Assessment, Consultation, and Triage (ACT) on May 13, 2026 at the Session Hall of the New Provincial Capitol, Trece Martires City.
The activity aimed to assess the current needs and business conditions of 2026 OTOP beneficiaries and provide them with appropriate technical assistance, mentoring, and government support services to further improve their products and market readiness.
To address the concerns and development needs of participating MSMEs, representatives and consultants from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, and Department of Science and Technology (DOST), together with the program’s hired designer, were invited to provide consultations and recommendations on product development, packaging, labeling, food safety compliance, intellectual property protection, and innovation.
Through the ACT session, DTI Cavite continues to strengthen its commitment to empowering local MSMEs under the OTOP Next Gen Program by helping them become more competitive, sustainable, and market-driven.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 4A, led by Regional Director Marissa C. Argente, together with DTI Cavite Provincial Director Lilibeth R. Chavez, CPD Division Chief Rexel B. Amparo, BDD OIC-Division Chief Julita C. Salvacion, and Planning Officer Froy H. Galapon, conducted a courtesy visit to Cavite 7th district representative Cong. Crispin Diego "Ping" Diaz Remulla on May 15, 2025, in Indang, Cavite.
Updates were presented on key DTI programs and initiatives, including the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Program, Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program, Shared Service Facility (SSF) Program, Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program, and digitalization initiatives such as iRegis.
The discussion between DTI and Cong. Remulla also covered the status of Basic Necessities and Prime Commodities (BNPCs) amid the ongoing oil crisis. DTI reported that regular monitoring shows no significant increase in commodity prices within the district.
The Consumer Protection Division (CPD) also discussed the upcoming Diskwento Caravan initiatives in preparation for the opening of the school year to help students and parents access affordable school supplies and essential goods.
Cong. Remulla expressed support for strengthening Cavite’s coffee industry and commended DTI for its continued efforts in MSME development and consumer protection.
