Learners shared a meaningful and joyful moment around the dining table with the School Principal and administrators in celebration of the 34th National Family Week. Through the simple act of sharing a meal, learners had the opportunity to engage in warm conversations, exchange stories, and create memorable moments with their school leaders.

The gathering was graced by Soledad E. Pozon, EdD, Principal IV, together with Head Teachers Reynita B. Daduya, HT III, and Trifina U. Tagulao, HT III. Their presence provided a welcoming atmosphere where learners could interact with their school leaders in a more personal and relaxed setting.

More than a shared meal, the Masayang Kuwentuhan sa Hapag-Kainan became a meaningful opportunity to strengthen relationships within the school community. The laughter, conversations, and shared experiences around the table reflected the spirit of National Family Week—celebrating connection, appreciation, and togetherness through simple yet meaningful moments.

DepEd Tayo Olongapo City Regional Science HS III opened its doors as one of the official testing venues for the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) earlier today, accommodating approximately 240 aspiring Ateneo students who gathered to take the college entrance examination.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗲-𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲

Kasalukuyang isinasagawa ang isa sa mga kompetisyong tampok sa taunang pagdiriwang ng “Science Month,” na nilalahukan ng mga estudyante mula sa iba’t ibang baitang. Tampok dito ang Scire-Forge, na nagpapamalas ng inobasyon, mapanuring pag-iisip, at pagkakaisa ng mga estudyante sa pagbuo at paglalahad ng kanilang mga ideya.

Sa bawat likhang inihahain, naipamamalas ng mga kalahok ang kanilang kakayahang gamitin ang agham upang lumikha ng mga makabuluhang inobasyon. Higit pa sa kompetisyon, nagsisilbi rin itong pagkakataon upang mailapat ng mga estudyante ang kanilang kaalaman at pagiging malikhain.

The Aghamazing Race of the Students Coalition for Innovation and Revitalized Education (SCIRE) is now underway at the Silong ng Mangga, bringing learners together for a day of science, camaraderie, and fun.

The event is open to Grade 7 to Grade 12 learners, with participants divided into eight groups.

Through a series of scientific activities and challenges, the Aghamazing Race fosters teamwork and camaraderie among students.

𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧-𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙙 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙-𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙮 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙀𝙫𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙃𝙚𝙡𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙍𝙎𝙃𝙎 𝙄𝙄𝙄

A Character-Based Education and Child-Friendly School Evaluation was conducted at RSHS III to assess the school’s practices and initiatives in promoting character development and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment.

The team of evaluators was composed of Sir Allen Tuyogon, EPS for Araling Panlipunan; Ma’am Irish Espiritu, EPS Specialist II for ALS; Ma’am Jane Palatan, Guidance Counselor II; and Ma’am Maricel L. Andrade, Principal III of JLGIS. The activity was supported by Ma’am Corazon Dumlao, PSDS District IV.

The RSHS III teachers actively participated in the evaluation, sharing their practices and providing the necessary support throughout the activity. Ma’am Soledad E. Pozon, EdD, Principal IV, together with the Head Teachers, Ma’am Reynita B. Daduya, HT-III; Ma’am Trifina U. Tagulao, HT-III; and Ma’am Nancy Fe O. Cabarle, HT-III, as well as Sir Prudencio Galsim, MT-III, assisted in ensuring the smooth implementation and success of the evaluation.

The activity highlights the collective commitment of the RSHS III community to strengthening character formation and promoting a child-friendly school environment where every learner is valued, respected, protected, and supported.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗦 𝗜𝗜𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗥𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀

Regional Science High School III (RSHS III) students successfully finished the Universal Robotics Challenge (URC) world finals at Osaka, Japan on September 19, 2026.

After reaching to the international level, the team in the Python advanced division, consisting of Enzo Escolango and Zamry Bulquerin clinched 5th place in their respective category. Meanwhile, Klowy Espallardo and Aejon Meneses participated in the advanced coding division using Studuino.

The achievement of the teams reflected their months of preparations and trainings.

Pinangunahan ng mga mag-aaral ng baitang 9, 10, at 11 ng Regional Science High School III ang pagsasagawa ng Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) na ginanap sa Regional Science High School III Gymnasium ngayong Martes, Setyembre 22.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagpili sa 56 na mag-aaral na edad 15 taong gulang ang nakuha bilang kinatawan ng Olongapo City sa naturang pagtataya. Isinagawa ito sa ilalim ng programang educational assessment na tinawag na PISA-Based Test for Schools (PBTS) 2026.

Sa isang panayam, ibinahagi ni Samantha Nicole Manansala, isang PISA Taker mula sa 11-Flerovium, na isang malaking oportunidad ang maging kinatawan ng SDO Olongapo sa nabanggit na pagtataya.

"I prepared my mind. Naging preparation ko rin na dumating dito yung mga officials from Gordon Heights National High School to demonstrate kung paano i-access yung website so it really helped us with the navigation din." ani Manansala.

“Supportive din naman yung region since they provided incentives like notebooks, pens, pagkain, at inumin.” dagdag pa niya.

Sa kabilang banda, iminungkahi ng ilang mag-aaral ang mga hamong kanilang hinarap sa pagtataya. Sa loob ng dalawang oras na dapat tapos na ang 70 na tanong, naging pagsubok sa kanila ang maging mapagpasensiya.

Ayon sa mga ikasampung baitang na PISA takers, ilan sa mga naging hadlang sa maayos na daloy ng pagsusulit ang mahinang koneksyon at biglaang pag-shotdown ng mga kompyuter sa ICT Lab na hindi kinakaya upang tugunan ang 56 na mag-aaral.

Isa pa rito ang pagkukulang sa paghahanda ng mga mag-aaral — "Biglaan po kasi akong napasama kaya hindi masyadong nakapag-aral.", ika ng isang PISA taker. Bagaman nagkaroon ng paghahanda sa darating na the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), hindi pa rin ito naging sapat upang mapag-aralan lahat ng kailangan pag-aralan.

"Walang naging problema sa lugar— ang mga kagamitan lamang ang dapat pagbutihin," ani ng mag-aaral mula sa 10 Copper. Dagdag pa niya, mas magiging maayos at epektibo kung may pagmumuhunan sa kagamitan simula pa lamang.

Layunin ng PBTS na mabigyang oportunidad ang mga mag-aaral na tiyakin ang mga mahalagang impormasyon na makatutulong sa kanilang pag-aaral. Binibigyang-buhay ng pagtatayang ito ang dedikasyon ng paaralan na maitaguyod ang de-kalidad na edukasyon at hubugin ang mga mag-aaral upang harapin ang mga pagtatayang gaya nito.

Regional Science High School III is currently conducting the PISA-Based Test for Schools (PBTS) 2026 on September 22, 2026, in accordance with DepEd Memorandum No. 792, s. 2026. The assessment is being administered to selected Grade 10 and 11 students as part of the school’s participation in this important educational assessment.

The PBTS provides an opportunity to assess learners’ knowledge and skills in areas relevant to real-world situations, while also providing valuable information that may help schools better understand and support student learning.

Selected learners are actively participating in the assessment, demonstrating focus, responsibility, and commitment throughout the conduct of the test. Their participation reflects the school’s continued dedication to promoting quality education and developing learners who are prepared to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world.

As the assessment takes place, may our selected RSHS III learners continue to give their best and showcase the knowledge, skills, and values they have developed throughout their academic journey.
