ROSAL SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIES AS IT CONTINUES TO MOVE NORTH NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE SEA EAST OF TAIWAN.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
ROSAL will continue moving generally northwestward until tomorrow (24 October) morning before moving northward then north northeastward between tomorrow afternoon and Sunday (25 October) morning towards Japan. On the forecast track, the tropical cyclone will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow morning.

LOCATION OF CENTER
The center of the eye of Typhoon ROSAL was estimated based on all available data at 385 km North Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (24.0 °N, 123.2 °E ).

STRENGTH
Maximum sustained winds of 155 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 190 km/h.

MOVEMENT
Moving North Northwestward at 20 km/h.

ROSAL SLIGHTLY WEAKENS WHILE MOVING NORTH NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE SEA EAST OF TAIWAN.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
ROSAL will continue moving generally northwestward until tonight before moving northward then north northeastward between tomorrow (24 October) and Sunday (25 October). On the forecast track, the tropical cyclone will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tomorrow morning.

The center of the eye of Typhoon ROSAL was estimated based on all available data at 305 km Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (22.9 °N, 123.7 °E )

ROSAL CONTINUES TO WEAKEN AS IT DECELERATES NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE SEA EAST OF BATANES.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
ROSAL will continue moving generally northwestward until tomorrow (23 October) morning. It will begin to turn north northwestward by tomorrow afternoon before recurving north northeastward by Saturday (24 October). On the forecast track, the tropical cyclone will be closest to Extreme Northern Luzon between tonight and tomorrow morning. It will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tomorrow evening or Saturday early morning.

The center of the eye of Typhoon ROSAL was estimated based on all available data at 305 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (21.4 °N, 124.7 °E )

ROSAL WEAKENS INTO A TYPHOON OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA EAST OF BATANES.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
ROSAL will continue moving generally northwestward until tomorrow (23 October) morning. It will begin to turn north northwestward by tomorrow afternoon before recurving north northeastward by Saturday (24 October). On the forecast track, the tropical cyclone will be closest to Extreme Northern Luzon between this afternoon and tomorrow morning. It will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tomorrow evening or Saturday early morning.

Ang Balanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), sa pakikipagtulungan ng Olongapo City DRRM Office, ay nagsagawa ng Crashed Vehicle Extrication and Rescue Training para sa ating mga responders mula sa CDRRMO, BFP, CPAOO, at CHO-HEMS ngayong October 20-21, 2026. Layunin nitong higit pang mapahusay ang kanilang kaalaman at kasanayan sa pagsagip ng mga biktima ng aksidente, gayundin ang pagpapalakas ng kahandaan sa pagtugon sa mga emergency at sakuna sa loob at labas ng ating lungsod.

Sa ngalan ng ating City Mayor, Hon. Raquel Francis D. Garcia, at sa pangunguna ni CDRRMO Department Head Engr. Dennis B. Mariano, taos-pusong pasasalamat ang ipinapaabot sa lahat ng empleyado, departamento, at partner agencies sa kanilang patuloy na pakikilahok at dedikasyon sa pagsasanay.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Smartkids Montessori Olongapo Inc. conducted an Earthquake Preparedness Lecture and Simulation Drill in partnership with the City DRRMO today, October 22, 2026. Students, teachers, and staff practiced proper earthquake protocol and safety evacuation routes. Teaching disaster resilience early on helps our youth become more prepared and safe inside and outside the classroom.
