She only wanted to teach her son how tough life can be. When her 17-year-old told her school felt meaningless, this mother, who works as a street vendor, set him up with a small snack stall, thinking the grind would push him back toward education.

But instead of running back to his textbooks, he earned the equivalent of $1,400 in just 10 days and fell in love with the hustle. Now he wakes up early to prep food, rides 13 kilometers to his stall, and sells late into the night, all while saving up for a better cart.

His mother admits she never expected him to embrace it so deeply. She has tried to change his mind, but at the end of the day she believes a 17-year-old deserves to find his own path. Her greatest wish is that he stays healthy, happy, and out of trouble, because to her, success is not just about grades, it is about living a life that feels meaningful.
