Training on Coastal Resource Habitat Assessment On October 9-10, 2024 at USTP Panaon-Campus, training center, Panaon Misamis Occidental.

The training aimed to enhance Fisheries Extension Workers in Misamis Occidental with knowledge and skills in assessing coastal habitats, promoting sustainable management practices, and providing a comprehensive understanding of coastal ecosystems.

The training successfully equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills for effective coastal management. Continued efforts in education and collaboration are vital for the sustainable stewardship of coastal resources.

Successfully conducted TOT on Fish stock assessment including fish identification and Data reporting .

This training program aims to equip trainers
Fisheries Extension Workers in Misamis Occidental with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively assess fish stocks,identify species,fishing gears familiarization and reporting of data. Participants learned methodologies, data collection techniques, and best practices in fish stock assessment.

Furthermore,this training also aims to standardize data collection to establish time series and biological data for science-based fisheries management, plans,and strategies.

The said activity was conducted on October 3-4,2024 at the Auditorium ,Plaridel Misamis Occidental.

BFAR 10, through the Provincial Fisheries Office of Misamis Occidental, successfully conducted a "𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴" for fishery-based MSMEs in Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental, from July 10-11, 2024. This initiative aims to enhance financial literacy and management skills among the fisherfolk.

Participants engaged in "𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 & 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻," an interactive game designed to teach key financial management skills. Through this fun and insightful activity, MSMEs learned the importance of investments and sound business practices.
