ASENSO PINOY PARTYLIST LEADS AID MISSION FOR CEBU QUAKE VICTIMS

via Bhal Abad Cabrera | TriMedia Digital | October 16, 2025

CEBU — Guided by compassion and the enduring spirit of bayanihan, the Asenso Pinoy Partylist, led by Congressman Henry “Indy” Oaminal Jr. and Founding Chairman Governor Henry S. Oaminal, spearheaded a large-scale relief mission for families affected by the recent earthquake in Cebu Province.

As part of its Asenso Pamilya advocacy, Asenso Pinoy turned over ₱3.5 million in financial assistance to five local government units severely affected by the quake. Each of the 77 families who lost loved ones also received ₱20,000 in cash aid — amounting to more than ₱1.5 million in direct support.

Represented by Asenso Pinoy Secretary-General and Board Member Eduardo Cebedo, the turnover underscored the partylist’s mission to uplift Filipino families through unity and compassion, rooted in its 5Ms Core Values — Matinahuron (Respectful), Matinud-anon (Honest), Matinabangon (Helpful), Mahigugmaon (Loving), and Maampuon (Prayerful).

At the same time, the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental, under the leadership of Governor Henry S. Oaminal, who also serves as Founding Chairman of Asenso Pinoy, extended an additional ₱4.3 million in aid to the Province of Cebu and its five affected LGUs. The support included ₱2 million for the Province of Cebu, ₱1 million for Bogo City, ₱400,000 for Medellin, and ₱300,000 each for San Remigio, Daanbantayan, and Tabogon.

Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro thanked the Oaminals and Asenso Pinoy for their swift and heartfelt response, calling them “partners in rebuilding hope” for families recovering from loss.

“This partnership between Asenso Pinoy and Misamis Occidental shows what true public service looks like — leadership anchored on empathy, honesty, and genuine love for people,” Baricuatro said.

Beyond politics, the Asenso Pinoy mission demonstrated that the Asenso Brand of Service — championed by its Founding Chairman, Gov. Oaminal — continues to inspire action and unity across regions. In times of tragedy, it serves as a reminder that leadership rooted in compassion can bring healing, solidarity, and lasting change.
