In celebration of its 10th year, the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program proudly launches its first-ever recognition program โ€” the KMME Growth Champions Award.

This milestone initiative honors 10 exceptional KMME graduates who have demonstrated significant business growth and impact aligned with the KMME Impact Goals (KIG) โ€” Sales Growth, Jobs Generation, and Innovation.

Since its inception, the KMME Program, implemented by Go Negosyo and DTI, has empowered more than 16,000 Filipino entrepreneurs nationwide. This inaugural awards program aims to celebrate graduates whose entrepreneurial journeys reflect resilience, innovation, and sustainable growth.

The Growth Champions Awards will be formally awarded on July 16, 2026 at the Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC), and will also be recognized during the Go Negosyo MSME Summit on July 18, 2026.

๐Ÿ’ช Every big business starts smallโ€”with the right mindset and support.

What started as a small garage kitchen in Tudela, Misamis Occidental has now risen into a thriving local brand โ€” Eats and Treats.

In 2014, Eda Tanya Chupuico-Lee turned her passion for food into a business with only โ‚ฑ150,000 capital and a team of four. From a modest home setup, the enterprise steadily grew into a go-to destination for celebration cakes, Filipino delicacies, and innovative products that delight customers and bring families together.

Through the years, Eats and Treats achieved key milestonesโ€”from securing its FDA License to expanding its products across Robinsons supermarkets in Iligan, Pagadian, Ozamiz, and Oroquieta. Its ability to innovate, including the introduction of products like kimchi, reflects its commitment to adapt to changing consumer tastes.

With a vision to scale up, Maโ€™am Eda joined the DTI Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program in 2024, where she emerged as one of the top mentees in Region 10. Through mentorship, she strengthened her business model, embraced digitalization, and enhanced her operations and marketing strategies.

By 2025, Eats and Treats reached a major milestone with the opening of its own two-storey building in a prime locationโ€”proof of how far the business has come from its humble beginnings. From four employees, the team has now grown to around twenty, with plans to further expand into new markets and ventures.

๐Ÿ’ฌ โ€œBelieve in yourself, since you cannot convince others if you do not believe in yourself.โ€

From a home kitchen to a celebrated local brand, Eats and Treats is a testament to how passion, perseverance, and the right support can turn small beginnings into meaningful success. โœจ

Maging mapanuri at matalinong mamimili. โค๏ธ
