3 Local Terrorist Group-BIFF Members, Surrendered to PRO BAR Authorities
The continuous campaigns of the Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region under the leadership of Police Brigadier General Eden T Ugale, Regional Director, against insurgency, anti-terrorism and campaign against loose fi****ms are yielding positive results as proven in the numerous surrenders of members of various local terrorist groups in the region.
On Thursday, August 9, 2021 at PRO BAR, Camp BGen Salipada K Pendatun, Parang, Maguindanao, the collaborative efforts of RIU 15; RID, PRO BAR; PIU, Maguindanao PPO; CIDG-RFU BAR; AFP, and Local Government Unit of Ampatuan municipality resulted to the surrender of 3 members of the Local Terrorist Group-Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter (LTG-BIFF) under Karialan faction identified as; a.k.a. Bungo, a.k.a. Ali Usman, and a.k.a. Datu, along with their fi****ms, one (1) Rocket Propelled Gr***de (RPG) launcher, one (1) ammunition for RPG; one (1) 7.62mm Homemade Sniper Rifle; Two (2) 7.62 live ammunition; one (1)Homemade M79 Gr***de Launcher (GL) ; and one (1) 40MM GL ammunition.
The Karialan Faction group of BIFF is the same faction that harassed Datu Piang Municipal Compound and Sta. Teresita Catholic Church and set fire to Datu Piang MPS Police car on December 3, 2020.
PBGEN Ugale lauds this successful activity. This only shows that PRO BARs recent efforts for its anti-terrorism campaign are yielding positive results. He expressed that this accomplishment is the product of PRO BAR efforts that appeals to the lawless elements BIFF group to peacefully lay down their arms and submit themselves to the government.
