SLP SIBOL STORY | Mula sa 20 pato at maliit na taniman ng gulay, napalago ni Mardelyn Quima ng Brgy. Rizal, Bansalan, Davao del Sur ang kanyang simpleng kabuhayan.

Sa tulong ng Php 15,000 Seed Capital Fund mula sa DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) noong 2024, lumago ang kanyang alagang pato sa 180, na ngayon ay nagbibigay ng tuloy-tuloy na kita para sa pangangailangan ng kanyang pamilya at sa pag-aaral ng kanyang anak.

"Sa pamamagitan ng SLP, natutunan ko kung paano pamahalaan ang maliit na negosyo, mag-budget ng kita at gastusin, at magplano upang mapalago ang aming kabuhayan.

Lubos ang aking pasasalamat sa DSWD at sa SLP sa tulong na kanilang ibinigay sa amin. Umaasa ako na patuloy din nilang matutulungan ang iba pang pamilya upang sila rin ay makapagsimula at mapalago ang kanilang kabuhayan," wika ni Mardelyn.

Ngayong National Women’s Month, patunay ang kanyang kwento na kapag nabigyan ng tamang oportunidad ang kababaihan, kaya nilang gawing matagumpay ang maliit na simula.

🎉 Ceremonial Turnover of Datagan Kababaihan SLPA

On February 18, 2026, the Ceremonial Turnover for Datagan Kababaihan SLPA was successfully conducted, marking another step toward strengthening community livelihood and women empowerment.

The activity was attended by First Lady Ilang-Ilang Co, CSWDO Head Evangeline Poquita, and SLP Project Coordinator Earl Wynn Timbang, together with the members of the association who expressed their gratitude and commitment to sustaining the project.

This initiative supports the continued development of sustainable livelihood opportunities for the members and the community.

🎉 Turnover Ceremony of SWEET SLPA

On February 27, 2026, a Turnover Ceremony was held for SWEET SLPA in Barangay Ditoray, Pagadian City for their livelihood projects: Dried Fruit Processing, Chorizo Production, and Bigasan (Rice Retailing).

These initiatives aim to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities, promote local food products, and support food accessibility in the community.

On February 28, 2026, a Turnover Ceremony was successfully held in Barangay Lourdes, Pagadian City for the Lourdes Women’s SLPA (Sustainable Livelihood Program Association) in support of their community livelihood initiative.

The event marked the official turnover of the Agri Farm Supply and Trucking Services Project, a livelihood program designed to strengthen the local agricultural sector and provide sustainable income opportunities for members of the association.

🌱 About the Project:
The Agri Farm Supply and Trucking Services Project aims to support local farmers by providing accessible agricultural supplies and reliable transportation services for farm inputs and harvest products. Through this project, the association will help improve the delivery of farm materials such as fertilizers, seeds, feeds, and other agricultural necessities while also assisting farmers in transporting their produce to markets.

🚚 Key Objectives of the Project:
• Provide affordable agricultural supplies to local farmers
• Offer trucking and hauling services for farm inputs and harvested crops
• Strengthen local agricultural productivity and market access
• Generate sustainable livelihood and income for the women members of the association
• Support the economic development of the farming community in Barangay Lourdes and nearby areas

The turnover ceremony was attended by association members, community leaders, and partner stakeholders who expressed their support for the project and its potential to empower women and uplift the local farming community.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment to community development, women empowerment, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
