Stay focused. Stay alert. Follow RA 10913 — because one moment of distraction can cost a life.
• bumabagal ang reaction time,

Keep right. Save lives.

Follow RA 10666: Because Every Child’s Life Deserves Protection
As we commemorate the National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims, Survivors, and Their Families, we pause to honor the children whose lives were lost too soon because of preventable road crashes. Their stories remind us that safety is not just a rule — it is an act of love and responsibility.
Republic Act No. 10666, the Children’s Safety on Motorcycles Act, exists to protect young passengers from danger. It prohibits children from riding on motorcycles unless they can safely reach the foot pegs, hold on securely, wear a certified helmet, and only when the road and traffic conditions are safe. These safeguards were created because even a single moment of risk can forever change a family’s life.
On this day of remembrance, let us reflect on the children who never made it home — and ensure no more families suffer the same heartbreak. Every time we choose to follow RA 10666, we choose to protect a child’s future.
Let remembrance inspire care.
Protect children with every ride.
Follow RA 10666 — because every child’s life is precious.

Follow Road and Traffic Signs — A Simple Act That Saves Lives
As we commemorate the National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims, Survivors, and Their Families, the LTO Pagadian City District Office calls on every motorist, rider, and pedestrian to reflect on the true purpose of road and traffic signs. Behind every sign placed along our roads is a message designed to protect life. And behind every life lost in a road crash is a family forever changed.
Many of the tragedies we remember today — the empty seats at family tables, the children who grew up without parents, the survivors who continue to carry both physical and emotional scars — began with a moment when a warning sign was ignored, a speed limit was exceeded, or a stop sign was overlooked. These were not accidents; they were preventable losses.
Road and traffic signs exist to guide us, warn us, slow us down, and remind us that we share the road with people whose lives matter just as much as our own. A simple act of slowing down near a school zone protects a child. Honoring a stop sign protects a pedestrian. Following a curve warning prevents a collision. These small acts of discipline are powerful expressions of responsibility and empathy.
Today, as we honor the victims of road crashes, let us remember that safety is not just a rule — it is a form of compassion. It is a promise that we value not only our own lives but also the lives of strangers who share the road with us. By choosing to obey road signs, we actively help prevent new tragedies and lessen the number of families who must endure the pain remembered on this day.
Let remembrance move us to responsibility.
Let empathy guide our actions behind the wheel.
Follow the signs, save lives, and help ensure that no more names are added to the list of those we remember.

The Importance of RA 10586 (Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act of 2013)
The Land Transportation Office reminds all motorists of the critical importance of Republic Act No. 10586, also known as the Anti-Drunk and Drugged Driving Act of 2013. This law is one of the country’s most powerful tools in preventing road crashes, saving lives, and ensuring the safety of every road user.
Every year, thousands of Filipinos are injured or killed in road crashes, and a significant number of these cases involve drivers who were under the influence of alcohol or dangerous drugs. Impaired driving remains one of the most preventable causes of fatal road accidents — yet it continues to claim lives, destroy families, and cause irreparable harm to communities.
RA 10586 was enacted to directly address this threat. The law prohibits any person from driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs, and it empowers law enforcement officers to conduct field sobriety tests, breath analyzer tests, and drug screenings when necessary. The penalties are intentionally severe because the consequences of impaired driving are severe — often deadly.
Why RA 10586 Matters
Driving requires full alertness, quick reflexes, and sound judgment. Even small amounts of alcohol or drugs can slow reaction time, impair decision-making, blur vision, and significantly increase the risk of losing control of a vehicle. When a person chooses to drive impaired, they put not only their own life at risk but also the lives of passengers, pedestrians, fellow motorists, and innocent families.
RA 10586 protects the public by:
Deterring impaired driving through strict penalties such as fines, imprisonment, and license confiscation or revocation.
Empowering traffic law enforcers to remove dangerous drivers from the road before they cause harm.
Promoting a culture of responsibility, where drivers understand that road safety requires discipline and self-control.
Saving lives by preventing avoidable collisions that could lead to life-long injuries or death.
A Call for Responsibility
Every driver has a duty to ensure that they are physically and mentally capable of operating a motor vehicle. No celebration, no convenience, and no excuse is worth endangering lives. If you drink, do not drive. If you feel unwell, impaired, or under the influence of anything that affects your senses, do not operate a vehicle. Choose a designated driver, take public transportation, call a trusted friend or family member — but never take the risk of getting behind the wheel.
Protecting Lives Starts with You
RA 10586 is not simply a law to be followed only when convenient. It is a daily reminder that road safety begins with individual accountability. Every safe choice you make contributes to fewer crashes, fewer deaths, and fewer families suffering from preventable loss.
Let us all work together to create safer roads — not just for ourselves, but for our loved ones, our communities, and the generations to come.
Do your part.
Do not drink and drive.
Choose responsibility. Choose safety.
A single decision can save a life — or cost one.
