01 June 2026 | The Refresher Lecture Webinar Series of the Fire Safety Enforcement and Prevention Division continued on its 9th day with a lecture on “Fire Safety Guidelines on Different Types of Occupancy,” conducted by FCINSP CECILLE D CARIÑO-ANGELES, Chief, FSEPD via Zoom platform.

FCINSP CARIÑO-ANGELES provided participants with a comprehensive discussion on the fire safety requirements, standards, and considerations applicable to various occupancy classifications. The lecture emphasized the importance of proper implementation and compliance in ensuring the safety of lives and properties across different establishments and facilities.

01 June 2026 | The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Regional Office IX, led by Regional Director FCSUPT JERRY D CANDIDO, DSC, conducted its Traditional Flag Raising Ceremony at the Regional Office Grounds. During the program, FO1 Marco Roger S Fuentes, Liason/Driver, Office of the ARD for Operations, RO IX served as the Troop Information and Education (TI&E) Speaker. Drawing from his experience in service, he emphasized that the success of the organization is not measured by rank or designation, but by the collective commitment of its personnel toward a common mission. He highlighted that every function within the Bureau—whether operational, administrative, or support-related—contributes to the effective delivery of public service.

During the ceremony, FSSUPT ROMMEL E VILLAFUERTE, DSC, ARD for Administration apprised personnel of ongoing administrative initiatives, particularly the development of standardized job descriptions aimed at clarifying roles and strengthening organizational efficiency. He likewise provided updates on promotion and recruitment processes, highlighting the transition to a paperless application system to streamline personnel transactions. He further called on administrative personnel to ensure their readiness for the two upcoming major activities that will require coordinated planning and ex*****on.

Ang Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) ay nanawagan na mag-ingat sa mga AI-generated images na maaaring kumakalat. Sa panahon ng emergency at sakuna, mabilis kumalat ang impormasyon online ngunit hindi lahat ng nakikita ninyong larawan ng mga rescue operations ay totoo.

Ang pagkalat ng mga AI-generated o pekeng larawan ay maaaring magdulot ng kalituhan, panic, at pagkalat ng maling impormasyon na nakasasagabal sa mga totoong emergency response.

Gibberish and Distorted Text: Madalas mali ang spelling, magulo ang mga nakasulat sa uniporme, helmet o karatula.

Anatomical Anomalies: Tignan ang mga kamay at mukha. Maghanap ng sobrang daliri, natutunaw na balat o hindi natural na ekspresyon.

Melding Objects/ Structural Errors: Pansinin ang mga bagay na nakalutang, mga kable na walang pinanggalingan o crane na hindi makatotohanan.

AI Sheen o “Masyadong Makinis”: Ang AI na larawan ay madalas na sobrang kinis, at perpekto ang ilaw.

Maging mapanuri. Siguraduhing nanggaling ito sa mga lehitimong news outlets at official pages ng ahensya ng gobyerno. Ireport ang mga AI-generated images na maaaring makapahamak sa operasyon.

IN PHOTO | The Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office IX, under the leadership of Regional Director FCSUPT JERRY DUHINA CANDIDO, DSC, continues the conduct of its Refresher Lecture Webinar Series through the Fire Safety Enforcement and Prevention Division headed by FCINSP CECILLE D CARIÑO-ANGELES.

Day 6 session placed the spotlight on Rule 13 of the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (RIRR) of RA 9514, with FCSUPT CANDIDO personally serving as the distinguished guest lecturer. Through his expertise and insights, participants were provided with a deeper understanding of the vital provisions of the Fire Code, further strengthening their commitment to effective fire safety enforcement and public service excellence.

The Refresher Lecture Webinar Series remains one of the key initiatives of Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office IXin ensuring that fire safety personnel remain updated with current policies and operational standards in line with its mandate of protecting lives and properties.
