In Photos | Operation: Delta Success!

With the participation of 38 students, Operation Delta - A Military Youth Camp Adventure for OFW Dependents held last July 26, 2024, saw an immediate success. This event would not have been possible without the help of the 9th RCDG RESCOM, Red Cross, and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO). Participants of the event have now acquired a new set of skills, attitudes, and friendships and we hope that they are able to use what they have learned in facing future challenges and hardships. For now, let’s have fun and take a look at what the participants went through during the camp!

𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐚 - 𝐀 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐅𝐖 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 9𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐂𝐃𝐆, 𝐊𝐮𝐭𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐨, 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐫.

The event saw active participation from 38 students enrolled in various OWWA Scholarship Programs. Led by COL PATRICIO S. TOMALES INF (GSC) PA, Commander of the 9th RCDG RESCOM PA, the camp offered hands-on experiences such as assembling and disassembling fi****ms, navigating military obstacles, and engaging in team-building games. The camp also highlighted the cooperation with the Red Cross for providing first aid medication and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) for safety and emergency preparedness.

The purpose of the event was to provide these young participants, who are dependents of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), with a unique opportunity to develop new skills, instill discipline, and build camaraderie. Through a series of challenging and engaging activities, the camp aimed to foster a sense of resilience, teamwork, and leadership among the youth, preparing them for future challenges and helping them appreciate the value of hard work and cooperation.
