๐ Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay โ Good news for farmers!
The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) Regional Office IX has released its first indemnity payment through Palawan Express on April 23, 2026, bringing claims payment closer and more convenient for insured farmers.
Rice farmer Regie S. Enriquez of Barangay Balagon received โฑ7,720.00 for crop losses caused by sheath blight and rat infestation.
"This is a big help. Iโm happy that claims payment is now accessible anywhere,โ Enriquez shared.
Instead of waiting for scheduled municipal payout activities or traveling to regional offices like Pagadian City, farmers can now claim their indemnity through Palawan Express outlets where availableโmaking the process faster and easier, especially for those in remote areas.
PCIC RO IX made this possible together with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Siay and Palawan Express, as part of efforts to improve service delivery for farmers.
๐ And moving forward, PCIC RO IX is looking to expand this payout option to more areas across Region IX where Palawan Express facilities are available.

During the summit, Templanza presented PCICโs mandate and agricultural insurance products. He also explained that eligible farmers and fisherfolk listed in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) can avail of free insurance.
