The 9RCDG participated in the closing ceremony of the 106th Infantry "Tagapanalipod" Battalionโs (106IB) Battalion Evacuation and Certification Program (BECP) yesterday, June 3, 2026, Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Prior to the ceremony, an exit briefing was conducted to present the results of the 106IBโs BECP to the 1st Infantry (1ID) Division leadership. The event was highlighted by the presence of Col. William George S. Cordova, ADC, 1ID, PA, who represented MGen. Yegor Rey P. Barroquillo Jr., Commander, 1ID, PA.
To actualize Total Force Integration, 9RCDG Commander, Col. Arnold L. Gasalatan personally graced the event. Nine highly capable reservist officers served as operational observers, ensuring our Laang Kawal leadership remains multi-mission ready alongside the regular force.
This partnership ensures our forces move with synchronized precision, keeping the unit "Always on Top!.โ

In a powerful display of volunteerism, the 9RCDG personnel and 47 RSCT Cadets proudly participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Sta. Lucia National High School in Brgy. Sta. Lucia District, Pagadian City yesterday June 3, 2026.
The activity was conducted upon the request of School Principal IV, Mrs. Babai M. Paniorotan, and carried out under the leadership of Cpl. Jonfery S. Pilapil (Inf) PA.
Through teamwork, discipline, and a shared sense of duty, the cadets helped create a cleaner, safer, and more conducive learning environment for the students. This meaningful activity reflects the unit's unwavering commitment to community service and support for quality education.
Together, we continue to strengthen our communities, inspire learning, and help build a brighter future for every Filipino learner.

The 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army officially commenced the Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT) MS 31 & 32 with a solemn and simple opening ceremony yesterday June 3, 2026 at 9RCDG Headquarters, Kuta Dao, Pagadian City.
The event was graced by Col. Alfred E. Ramones, Deputy Group Commander, 9RCDG, who served as the Keynote Speaker. In his message, he emphasized the importance of commitment, discipline, and the core values that the cadets are expected to uphold throughout their training journey.
The ceremony marks the official start of a rigorous but rewarding path for the new batch of cadets. The 9RCDG leadership looks forward to molding these participants into dedicated members of the reserve force who are ready to serve the nation.

In a dedicated effort to support the Department of Education, the 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army conducted a Brigada Eskwela activity at Tiguma Elementary School, Pagadian City yesterday June 3, 2026. This initiative was organized in response to a request from the School Principal, Mr. Edrianne Jan T. Layugue and School Teacher, Mrs. Riza S. Pagsiat.
The collaborative effort brought together personnel from the 9RCDG, headed by Lt. Col. Merwin M. Bodollo; the 901CDC, headed by Sgt. Ruby D. Espinosa; and the RSCT cadets. The team rendered voluntary service to prepare the school facilities for the upcoming academic year, including:
Cleaning school premises and classrooms to ensure a safe learning environment
Organizing classrooms to facilitate better learning conditions
Assisting in minor repairs and improvements to school structures
The 9RCDG remains committed to fostering strong partnerships with local schools and contributing to the development of our youth.

The 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army successfully held a joint closing ceremony to honor the graduates of the ROTC Summer Camp Training (RSCT) Class 01-2026 and Advance ROTC Academic Phase Training (ARAPT) Class 01-2026, yesterday June 2, 2026 at 9RCDG Headquarters, Kuta Dao, Pagadian City.
The ceremony was graced by Lt. Col. Moises Glenn G. Tangalin PA (Res), the Campus Director of JHC State College - Dumingag, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. During the proceedings, the 9RCDG Commander officially declared the courses closed and formally pronounced the cadet participants as graduates.

The cadets of ARAPT Class 01-2026 conquered their final major challenge before graduationโthe Group Commanderโs Run, yesterday June 2, 2026.
The 6-kilometer round trip route from the 9RCDG Headquarters to the Pagadian City Boulevard and back was undertaken alongside members of the 9RCDG staff. The Group Commander personally led the run, joining the first platoon of cadets on the course. The trek proved to be a demanding test of grit, featuring steep downhills, challenging uphills, and slippery road conditions. Despite these obstacles, the cadets ran in platoon formations with cadence and unwavering joy, embracing this final hardship together.
The cadets finished the run with high morale, proving their physical readiness and mental toughness for the next chapter of their service. Congratulations to ARAPT Class 01-2026 for successfully completing this milestone prior to their graduation!

Last May 31, 2026, the ARAPT Class 01-2026 marked a significant milestone with the formal Induction of Officers and a spirited Smokerโs Night at 9RCDG Hqs. The event was graced by the 9RCDG Commander, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
The evening began with the solemn oath-taking ceremony, where the newly inducted class officers officially accepted their responsibilities and committed to leading their peers with integrity and dedication. Following the formal proceedings, the atmosphere turned vibrant as the cadets showcased their talents and camaraderie. All six groups presented their respective numbers, filling the night with energy and fun.
It was a well-deserved celebration of the hard work and bond these cadets have built throughout their training. The 9RCDG command remains proud of the initiative and spirit displayed by the ARAPT Class 01-2026.

The 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army commenced the work week with a solemn Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, joined by the dedicated participants of the ROTC Summer Camp Training (RSCT), yesterday June 1, 2026 at 9RCDG Headquarters.
During the assembly, the 9RCDG Commander,
Col. Arnold L. Gasalatan, delivered a special message to the cadets. Col. Gasalatan congratulated the participants for their resilience in surviving the rigorous training and acknowledged that they are just one day away from their graduation. The cadets were further urged to continue their growth as responsible members of the youth, with the Group Commander emphasizing the profound importance of honoring the Philippine flagโa symbol of national identity and the values they must uphold as future leaders of the country.
