SUCCESSFUL CONDUCT OF THE 2ND SEMESTER BARANGAY ASSEMBLY – CY 2026

The Barangay Government of Dampig, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, successfully conducted its 2nd Semester Barangay Assembly for Calendar Year 2026 today, October 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Barangay Covered Court.

The assembly served as an important avenue for transparency, accountability, and active community participation. It provided an opportunity for the barangay officials to present updates on barangay programs, projects, accomplishments, financial matters, and other important concerns affecting the community.

The activity also encouraged meaningful dialogue between barangay officials and residents, allowing constituents to express their concerns, share suggestions, and actively participate in discussions aimed at improving the delivery of public services and promoting the welfare of the entire barangay.

Punong Barangay Hon. Jonel V. Suniga, together with the members of the Sangguniang Barangay, barangay workers, and other stakeholders, extends heartfelt gratitude to Ma'am Laurice Aguinaldo, MLGOO and to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of this important undertaking.

📚 DISTRIBUTION OF EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE TO FIVE PBBM SCHOLARSHIP GRANT BENEFICIARIES

The Barangay Government of Dampig proudly announces the distribution of educational assistance to the five (5) qualified beneficiaries of the PBBM Scholarship Grant under the Bawat Barangay Makikinabang Program of the Office of the President, conducted during the 1st Regular Session of the Sangguniang Barangay for the month of October 2026.

This initiative aims to provide educational support to deserving students, particularly those who are the first in their families to graduate and those belonging to vulnerable, indigent, and less fortunate households, in accordance with the prescribed eligibility criteria.

The program reflects the government's commitment to making education more accessible and providing opportunities for students to pursue their academic goals despite financial challenges. Through this scholarship grant, the beneficiaries are given additional support and encouragement to continue their studies and work toward a brighter future.

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE FIVE (5) SCHOLARSHIP GRANT BENEFICIARIES Under the BAWAT BARANGAY MAKIKINABANG PROGRAM from the Office of the President

The Barangay Government of Dampig, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, is pleased to announce the five (5) beneficiaries of the Scholarship Grant under the Bawat Barangay Makikinabang Program from the Office of the President.

This scholarship initiative aims to provide educational assistance to deserving students and help them pursue their academic aspirations, particularly those who face financial challenges and have limited access to educational opportunities.

In accordance with the eligibility criteria provided under DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-38, the selection of beneficiaries was guided by the following qualifications:

TREE PLANTING CUM CLEAN-UP DRIVE ALONG DAMPIG BOLO RIVER
September 25, 2026 | Barangay Dampig, Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte

In a shared commitment to environmental protection and sustainable community development, a Tree Planting Activity Cum Clean-Up Drive was conducted along Dampig Bolo River on September 25, 2026.

The activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer, Mr. Jose B. Morata, in collaboration with the Barangay Government of Dampig, headed by Punong Barangay Jonel V. Suniga, together with the active participation of PROMA, HARP, Dampig Coconut MPCI, and barangay officials.

The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, maintain the cleanliness of the river and its surrounding areas, and contribute to the preservation of natural resources. Through tree planting, the participants demonstrated their commitment to enhancing the riverbank, helping prevent soil erosion, and supporting biodiversity. The clean-up drive also encouraged responsible waste management and strengthened the community's shared responsibility in protecting the environment.

The successful conduct of this activity highlighted the importance of cooperation among local government units, organizations, and community stakeholders in addressing environmental concerns.
