2. Sign the Oath of Undertaking: You will execute a simple Oath of Undertaking before your Punong Barangay or an authorized official, promising that you are indeed a first-time jobseeker.
3. Get Your Free Barangay Certificate: Once signed, you will receive your official Barangay Certification. This certificate is valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance—simply present this original certificate to the government agencies when applying for your free documents!

In line with the DILG Masbate Provincial Office's commitment to digital transformation and enhanced monitoring of barangay compliance, the DILG Municipal Office of Palanas conducted a Coaching on the Electronic Barangay Full Disclosure Policy (eBFDP) on 10 July 2026, from 8:30 AM to 12:00 NN, at the Liga ng mga Barangay Session Hall, 2nd Floor, Liga Building, Palanas Municipal Compound.

The activity was attended by the Barangay Secretaries and Barangay Treasurers of the Municipality of Palanas and served as a follow-through activity after the official launch of the eBFDP, an innovation of the DILG Masbate Provincial Office designed to streamline the monitoring and validation of Barangay Full Disclosure Policy (BFDP) compliance.

During the coaching session, participants received hands-on guidance on navigating the eBFDP platform, uploading mandatory BFDP documents, addressing common technical concerns, and ensuring the timely and accurate submission of disclosure requirements. The activity also provided an opportunity for participants to clarify issues and share experiences in using the system.

Through initiatives such as this, DILG Palanas continues to support the digital transformation of local governance by equipping barangays with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve full compliance with the Barangay Full Disclosure Policy. Together, we strengthen transparency, accountability, and good governance in every barangay.

✅ PAGKATAPOS NG BAGYO – Mag-ingat sa mga naputol na linya ng kuryente, iwasan ang mga mapanganib na lugar, at tiyaking ligtas ang inyong tahanan bago bumalik sa normal na gawain.

Good news for individuals and government offices processing foreign public documents!
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) reminds all Local Government Units (LGUs) of the acceptability of Apostille Certificates issued by countries that are Parties to the Apostille Convention.
An Apostille Certificate authenticates the origin of a public document, allowing it to be recognized in another member country without the need for further legalization by embassies or consulates.

✅ This means:
📄 Public documents bearing a valid Apostille Certificate from a contracting party should be accepted in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
🌍 The Apostille system simplifies the authentication of documents for international transactions, reducing processing time and administrative burden.
🤝 It promotes more efficient delivery of government services to the public.
📌 Citizens are encouraged to verify whether the country where their document was issued is a member of the Apostille Convention and ensure that the Apostille Certificate is genuine before submitting documents.

This updated protocol strengthens the government's commitment to ensuring that every child receives timely, child-sensitive, coordinated, and trauma-informed protection and assistance whenever they become victims of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or discrimination.
The revised protocol promotes:

🤝 Strong coordination among LGUs and partner agencies
⚖️ Proper referral, documentation, and case management

💧🌧️ DILG REITERATES POLICIES AND GUIDELINES ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF RAINWATER COLLECTORS

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) reminds all Local Government Units (LGUs), particularly barangays, to strictly observe the policies and guidelines on the construction and maintenance of Rainwater Collectors (RWCs).

Rainwater collectors provide a sustainable and cost-effective source of water for non-potable uses such as watering plants, cleaning public facilities, and supporting emergency water needs during dry periods. They also help reduce flooding by minimizing stormwater runoff and promote environmental conservation through responsible water resource management.

✅ We encourage all Punong Barangays and local officials to:
💦 Assess suitable locations for rainwater collector installation;
🏢 Integrate rainwater harvesting systems in applicable government buildings and facilities;
🌱 Promote water conservation and climate resilience in their communities; and
🤝 Ensure compliance with existing national policies and technical standards.
