Forty years ago, nearly two million Filipinos gathered on Metro Manilaโs main highway from February 22 to 25, 1986 to end the fourteen-year period of authoritarian rule and restore democracy in the Philippines.
Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1006, s. 2025, please be advised that:
1. February 25, 2026, is declared a Special (Working) Day.
2. Classes and Office Operations in all PalawanSU campuses will proceed as scheduled.
3. The University encourages all departments to integrate reflections on democracy and civic engagement into their activities for the day.
