Although the planned tree-growing activity was not carried out due to the threat of El Niño and the need to consider environmental conditions, the spirit of Punla ng Pagkakaisa continued to flourish through an outreach initiative centered on compassion, unity, and community service.
The activity brought together various city government offices, volunteers, and generous sponsors to extend assistance and share hope with our Indigenous Peoples community.
The activity included the distribution of Go Bags and OCD kits through the 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, led by 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗼. Other donations, including slippers, clothing, drinking water, hygiene kits, and additional essential goods, were also distributed to support the needs of our Dumagat families.
Joining hands in this meaningful endeavor were the Executive Assistants from the Office of the City Mayor—𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗮, 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮’𝗮𝗺 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻; 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘇 𝗡𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮-𝗮𝗻; 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻; 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗖𝗚𝗦𝗢); 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗝𝗖𝗢) 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀.

More than an outreach activity, Punla ng Pagkakaisa reminds us that tourism goes beyond discovering destinations—it is also about preserving culture, embracing diversity, uplifting communities, and ensuring that no one is left behind.
