The MARINA will open 7,900 additional appointment slots for the issuance of Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID), Seafarer's Record Book (SRB), and both SID and SRB, available at the MARINA Central Office for the period of 03 November - 18 December 2026, effective 23 October 2026.

- One (1) Maritime Industry Development Specialist I (MDS)
- Two (2) Office Clerk II (MTS)
- One (1) Office Clerk II (SFS)
- One (1) Office Clerk II (AFS)

This training is essential for those 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝟭, 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝟮 𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝟯.

Starting 19 October 2026 (Monday), seafarers may apply for expedite processing at all MARINA Regional Offices.

MARINA Central Office will no longer accept expedite applications from seafarers whose original appointments were scheduled at other MARINA Regional Offices.

For seafarers with urgent deployment, please submit an expedite application through the MARINA Expedite Portal: https://expedite-sidsrb.marina.gov.ph/

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

- Request Letter from the employing company
- Confirmed airline e-ticket
- Approved DMW Contract, notarized company contract, or Certificate of Employment
- Confirmed SID/SRB appointment

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

Please wait for the online approval from MARINA before proceeding to the MARINA office. On the day of the appointment, the email approval must be presented to the Evaluator as proof of the approved expedited application.

IN PHOTOS: The Maritime Industry Authority Regional Office VIII (MARINA RO VIII), headed by Regional Director Juliet S. Nacion, conducted an Oath-Taking Ceremony for its Newly Hired and Promoted Personnel on 13 October 2026, marking an important milestone in their professional journeys and reaffirming their commitment to public service.

The 16 newly filled positions are intended to strengthen the workforce of the Extension Offices in Calbayog City and Maasin City, reinforcing the Office’s presence in delivering maritime services across respective areas and nearby municipalities.

More than a recognition of professional growth, the ceremony symbolizes a renewed pledge to uphold integrity, accountability, and excellence in carrying out the mandate of MARINA. It also reflects the agency’s continuing efforts to build a capable and empowered workforce responsive to the needs of the maritime industry and the communities it serves.
