Sa pagdiriwang ng 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚 ngayong ika-1 ng Mayo, nakikiisa at pinapahalagahan ng Learning and Development Sinirangan Bisayas ang kontribusyon ng bawat manggagawang Pilipino sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng ating bansa.

Bilang katuwang sa pagpapalakas ng kakayahan at kaalaman ng ating mga kasamahan sa Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VIII, patuloy kaming nagsusulong ng mga programang magpapahusay sa kanilang propesyonal na paglago at serbisyo publiko.

75 Taon ng Walang Humpay na Serbisyo sa Sambayanang Pilipino

Pitumpu’t limang taon ng patuloy na paglilingkod. Pitumpu’t limang taon ng pagiging sandigan ng bawat pamilyang Pilipino.

Sa loob ng 75 taon, naging saksi ang mamamayang Pilipino sa di-matatawarang pagseserbisyo at walang patid ng pagtulong ng DSWD sa mga nangangailangan. Sa bawat pagsubok at hamon ng panahon, nanatiling matatag ang DSWD sa pag-alalay at pagbibigay ng pag-asa sa ating mga kababayan.

“Henerasyon Ngayon Para sa Henerasyon ng Kinabukasan.” Ang tema ng 75th Anniversay ng DSWD ay sumasalamin sa mahalagang tungkulin ng Kagawaran na magtatag ng matibay na pundasyon para sa hinaharap. Ang bawat pagkalinga, serbisyo, at programang ipinagkakaloob sa kasalukuyan ay nagsisilbing mahalagang puhunan sa pagbuo ng isang mas ligtas at mas maunlad na bukas.

Mula noon hanggang ngayon, at hanggang sa mga darating pang henerasyon, mananatiling kaagapay ng mga Pilipino ang DSWD sa pagtahak tungo sa isang mas maliwanag, mas inklusibo at mas progresibong Pilipinas para sa lahat.

As we welcome 2026 with excitement and gratefulness, we want to celebrate and thank all of you for the growth and learning we have shared in the old year.

2025 was a year of progress, hard work, and personal achievements, and we could not be prouder of everything we have accomplished together.

Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited for all the new opportunities to learn, grow, and push ourselves even further with our L&D activities especially in building competencies among Angels in Red Vest . Let us continue supporting each other, setting bold goals, and embracing every chance to expand our skills, knowledge and attitude.

𝙃𝙐𝙈𝘼𝙉 𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙊𝙐𝙍𝘾𝙀 𝙊𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙉𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 - The Learning and Development Section (LDS) congratulates and welcomes the newly hired personnel of the agency.

As part of the DSWD's New Employee Onboarding Program, the Learning and Development Section (LDS) conducted the last HR Orientation for CY 2025 to the newly hired personnel of the Field Office on 22 December 2025 at the HR Training Hall, 3F DSWD FO 8 Candahug, Palo, Leyte.

This will help the newly hired personnel to be accustomed with their new work environment and be familiar with the DSWD's mandate and culture, for them to have a better understanding of their role and contribution to the achievement of the goals of the Department.

𝘽𝙐𝙄𝙇𝘿𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙀𝙁𝙁𝙀𝘾𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙀 𝙏𝙀𝘼𝙈𝙎: 𝘼 𝙎𝙀𝙎𝙎𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙊𝙉 𝙆𝘼𝙂𝘼𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙂𝘼𝙉, 𝙆𝘼𝙃𝙐𝙎𝘼𝙔𝘼𝙉, 𝙆𝘼𝙏𝘼𝙋𝘼𝙏𝘼𝙉 - The Regional Alternative Child Care Office (RACCO) - an attached agency of the DSWD Field Office 8, underwent the Team Building Level 1 last 18 December 2025 at the Pinalangga Beach Resort, Marabut, Samar.

The learning activity equipped the participants with a better understanding of enhancing team competence within the agency by building qualities of Kagalingan, Kahusayan, and Katapatan which is crucial in the delivery of services to the agency's clients.

The 2nd Batch of ARVs from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Management Office (PPPPMO) attended the training program last 09-10 December 2025 at The Tropics at MacArthur Park, Palo, Leyte.

Through the training program, the Pantawid staff have comprehensively understood how they will be able to contribute to the improvement on how the agency provides service to its clients which then leads to the overall efficiency of the Department's operations.

This holiday season, the team reflects on all the learning experiences shared with everyone.

The team would like to thank everyone who has been a part of the fruitful journey this year. All is appreciated.

And to wrap-up the year, the team concluded it with the 𝟭𝟮𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗 𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬. For this activity, the Learning and Development Team insightfully shared about BENEVOLENCE in the workplace during the brown bag session last 19 December 2025.
