From the Messenger:
Hello, From a concerned Citizen in Brgy COGON Palo Leyte. First and foremost Ms,Mrs/Mr. it social media is not right a platform to voice every concern. If you have an issue with any of the Barangay members approach them personally and discuss your concerns privately and respectfully. Para ano tim pag post ha social media? Para maka kuha ka hin simpatya? (Bangin yumakan ka may nakarawat ak asya guilty ak tas nag post) unahan ko na ikaw, he ako waray ak may nakarawat hito na bugas bisan kailangan ko, Hino ba it ma diri bugas na gud ito pero waray ak mag inalingaw-ngaw ha socmed kay I know it’s not a right platform to voice out my concern and ha iba na mga pan hatag nakaka tagam-tam man ako mayda la talaga danay diri okay.
So kun hin-o kaman before you make concern in public tim una nga bubuhaton is to make an effort to address it personally diri kay it imo first resort is socmed na kun possible kaman dumaop personally. (Kay may kapas kita tanan dumaop haira kun may reklamo)
Tas adi pa kay baman han iba na mga panhatag na uupod kaman, mayda liwat iba na diri na nauupod pero diri man it hira na post socmed (mayakan kesyo waray cp) mayda it nira mga cellphone pero think think before they click to post. (Tas mayakan kay syempre it iba adi na nag yayakan ha socmed it ira concern kay diri man gin papamatian) it p**iana nag try kana? Kun Oo bangin na ngingiting ka liwat nga nag yayakan tim concern.
Ano tim pag post? Para maka aro ka hin simpatya haiba na tawo? (Kay it iba mayakan man na “same didi gihap haam Brgy waray ka tagi”) (kay mayda ma ugop haim?) asya ba?
Please remember that seeking public sympathy will not necessarily solve the problem.
Tas mayakan (“diri man ito asya tak purpose” hesess nabatian ko na ito) if it imo goal is to resolve the problem, then take the initiative to communicate (diri kay dummy/anonymous, diri kaman ada mafia). Give them chance to listen to your concerns, explain their action (yakan “kamo ngani nag tatag turulo kamo hin bugas” masayon la pag yakan)
Okay sidngon ta na publicly posting your frustration attract attentions, comment, and sympathy, but diri karuyag sidngon ma reresolve tim concern.
Ha mga mag barasa liwat, Remember that there are always two sides to every story. Before taking their side make sure you are also willing to listen to other side.
BEING HEARD IS IMPORTANT, But being FAIR, HONEST and OPEN MINDED is EQUALLY IMPORTANT
IF YOU BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING WRONG HAS HAPPENED, You have every right to raise your concern HOWEVER, (p**i highlight) YOU SHOULD ALSO CONSIDER THE PROPER CHANNELS FOR ADDRESSING YOUR CONCERN.
(If the private conversation does not resolve the issue then you can bring the matter to the appropriate authorities and file a formal complaint if NECESSARY.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEEK PUBLIC SYMPATHY TO MAKE A LEGITIMATE CONCERNED HEARD.
Now our lesson for today is for us to learn to distinguish between seeking a solution and seeking validation. There is a difference between raising a concern to correct a problem and posting something online to make others judge or criticize the people involved para maaram kita. What we need is constructive communication, not unnecessary public conflict.
Barangay Council members and BHWs are also people who deserve to be treated with fairness and respect. They may make mistakes, and they should be held accountable when necessary, but they should also be given a fair opportunity to respond to concerns raised against them.
At the end of the day, social media may give you an audience, but it cannot replace a sincere conversation. If you want a problem to be solved, (kun asya man tim purpose pag post) then choose DIALOGUE over drama, FACTS over assumptions, and SOLUTION over public accusations. Let us practice responsible communication and address our concerns with MATURITY, respect, and a genuine willingness to resolve the issue.
