LUNTIANG BUKAS: ARBOR DAY 2026
Building Greener, Cleaner, and Climate-Ready Filipino Communities.

In celebration of Philippine Arbor Day 2026, the Local Government Unit of Paluan and the Mt. Calavite Wildlife Sanctuary (MCWS) conducted a tree-planting activity in Sitio Duhatan, Brgy. Marikit. Despite the remote location and rainy weather, the initiative was successfully executed using seedlings provided by CENRO Sablayan. This activity was made possible through the leadership of PASu Ellie J. Nuñez, MENRO Engr. Arnold C. Dueñas, Mayor Michael “Adobo” Diaz, Vice Mayor Jasmin Tria Fernandez, and the Sangguniang Bayan. We thank our Iraya Community of Marikit, LGU and barangay officials, DSWD, community volunteers, and personnel from the BFP, PNP, PCG, and AFP for working alongside our team. This effort reinforces our commitment to protecting and building a climate-ready community for the future.
