The National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea (NTF-WPS) denounces the interference of the China Coast Guard (CCG) and the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLA Navy) with a lawful Philippine Rotation and Resupply (RoRe) mission to Ayungin Shoal on 24 September 2026. CCG and PLA Navy vessels hindered a routine mission to deliver essential supplies to, and rotate the personnel stationed aboard BRP Sierra Madre (LS57). In doing so, they put Filipino personnel at risk and obstructed a legitimate humanitarian and sustainment operation.

The actions of the PLA Navy and the CCG are inconsistent with the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the 2016 Arbitral Award, which affirmed the Philippines’ sovereign rights and jurisdiction in its exclusive economic zone, including Ayungin Shoal.

The NTF-WPS calls on the China Coast Guard and the PLA Navy to immediately cease interfering with lawful Philippine RoRe missions. The Philippines will continue to conduct lawful operations in the West Philippine Sea and exercise its sovereign rights and jurisdiction in accordance with international law. # # #

On October 5, 2026, at 9:200 AM, Pastor Benny Masulie, and Pastora Sheryl T. Bal, MBK-LC Members, conducted a Squad Weekly Interactive Meeting among the personnel of the 2nd Cagayan PMFC, led by PEMS Rolando Mayo, CESPO, together with the OJT students of FL Vargas College, at the 2nd CPMFC Headquarters, Curva, Pamplona, Cagayan.Pastor Masulie shared the Word of God from Ephesians 1:4 "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love". The message reminded everyone, especially PNP personnel, to uphold integrity, discipline, righteousness, and dedication to duty, and to always choose what is right in serving the people.The activity aimed to strengthen spiritual and moral values, promote camaraderie, and inspire personnel to serve with integrity, professionalism, and commitment.

Noong Oktubre 3, 2026, bandang alas-2:30 ng hapon, lumahok ang mga tauhan ng 4th MFP, 2nd CPMFC, sa pangunguna ni PLT CHARLIE CAGAYAN, Platoon Leader, sa Barangay Assembly at nagsagawa ng “Hepe sa Komunidad” at Project A.L.E.R.T. (Awareness Lecture to End waR on Terrorism and illegal drugs) information drive sa Barangay Casambalangan Gymnasium, Santa Ana, Cagayan.

Sa aktibidad, ipinakilala ng bagong Platoon Leader ang kanyang sarili sa mga residente at nagkaroon ng talakayan tungkol sa mga panganib at epekto ng ilegal na droga, kabilang ang epekto nito sa indibidwal, pamilya, at komunidad, gayundin ang mga kaukulang legal na pananagutan.

Layunin ng aktibidad na palakasin ang ugnayan ng kapulisan at komunidad, hikayatin ang maagap na pag-uulat ng mga kahina-hinalang gawain, at isulong ang aktibong pakikilahok ng mamamayan sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at seguridad. Dumalo rin sina Hon. Nelson Robinion, Municipal Mayor, mga kinatawan ng Sangguniang Bayan, MHO, SILG, MDRRMO, BFP, Santa Ana PS, iba pang ahensya, at mga Barangay Officials sa pangunguna ni Hon. Gavino Ruiz, Barangay Captain.

Noong Oktubre 3, 2026, dakong alas-6:17 ng umaga, nagsagawa ng Tree Planting Activity ang mga tauhan ng 3rd MFP, 2nd CPMFC, sa pangunguna ni PCMS Jayson T. Gaffud, Platoon Senior PNCO, kasama ang mga opisyal ng Barangay Gabun, Lasam, Cagayan, sa pangunguna ni Hon. Isabelo Agluba, Barangay Chairman. Isinagawa ang aktibidad sa bakuran ng Gabun Elementary School, kung saan kabuuang 100 punla ng Narra ang itinanim.
Layunin ng aktibidad na itaguyod ang pagkakaroon ng Green, Clean, and Climate-Ready Filipino Communities, makatulong sa pag-iwas sa pagguho ng lupa, at maipakita ang malasakit sa pangangalaga at pagprotekta sa kalikasan at likas na yaman. Isinagawa rin ito bilang suporta sa Enhanced National Greening Program (E-NGP) ng Pamahalaan at sa pangunahing pagpapahalaga ng PNP na “Makakalikasan.”

2nd CPMFC, Curva, Pamplona, Cagayan — Naaresto ng pinagsanib na puwersa ng 1st Mobile Force Platoon, 2nd CPMFC, Abulug Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) Cagayan at Regional Intelligence Unit 2 (RIU2) ang isang wanted person bandang alas-4 ng hapon sa Regional Border Checkpoint sa Barangay Lucban, Abulug, Cagayan nitong ika-1 ng Oktubre, 2026.

Nakilala ang naaresto na si aka Jay-r, 23 taong gulang, walang asawa, laborer, at residente ng nasabing bayan.

Isinagawa ang pag-aresto ng Manhunt Charlie Tracker Team ng 1st Mobile Force Platoon, 2nd CPMFC, sa pangunguna ni PLT ALEJANDRO ROMINA, katuwang ang Abulug MPS sa pangunguna ni PCPT JOHN JEFFERSON BUMANGLAG, PIU Cagayan at RIU2.

Naaresto siya sa bisa ng Warrant of Arrest para sa kasong Statutory R**e sa ilalim ng Article 266-A(1)(d), in relation to Article 266-B ng Revised Penal Code, as amended by RA 11648, na walang inirekomendang piyansa; at Acts of Lasciviousness sa ilalim ng Article 336 ng Revised Penal Code, na may inirekomendang piyansang ₱36,000.

Pinuri naman ni PMAJ JEFFERSON D MUKAY, Acting Force Commander ng 2nd CPMFC, ang buonh platoon sa pagiging alerto at maagap sa pagtupad ng tungkulin.
