Culture connects us, respect unites us, and love reminds us that every community deserves to be seen, valued, and celebrated.

RIZAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CELEBRATES INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ DAY 2026!

On October 19, 2026, Rizal Elementary School celebrated Indigenous Peoples’ Day with the theme "Katutubong Edukasyon: Unang Dekada, Unang Ani ng Pag-asa,” in honor of the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and identity of our Indigenous Peoples (IPs).

More than just a celebration, this activity served as a meaningful expression of respect, love, solidarity, and appreciation for our Indigenous brothers and sisters.
While not all participants are members of Indigenous communities, everyone came together to show their support, learn about their traditions, and recognize the beauty and value of their cultural heritage.

The celebration featured the showcasing of Indigenous attire, an inspirational message from Indigenous Leader Datu William B. Banzali, a Mandaya Tribal Chieftain from Barangay San Vicente, Panabo City and a pictorial that highlighted the participants’ support for the occasion.

The afternoon continued with exciting traditional games, including kadang-kadang, tug-of-war, luksong-baka, and sack race, bringing everyone together through fun, teamwork, and camaraderie.

At Rizal Elementary School, we believe that celebrating Indigenous Peoples’ Day is not about who we are, but about how we honor, respect, and stand in solidarity with one another. It is an opportunity to appreciate cultural diversity, promote inclusivity, and teach our learners that every culture deserves respect and every person deserves love.

Our heartfelt gratitude to our school Principal, Ma’am Johanna P. Linterna; our IPED Coordinator, Mr. Roger T. Manog; our guest, Datu William B. Banzali; to our Master of Ceremony Ma'am Sheena D. Puyat and everyone who contributed to the success of this meaningful celebration.

Different cultures, shared humanity. Different stories, equal dignity. One community united by respect and love.

Padayon sa pagpasidungog, pagrespeto, ug paghigugma sa atong mga katutubong igsoon!❤️

📢 STRENGTHENING CHILD PROTECTION THROUGH AWARENESS AND PARTNERSHIP

Rizal Elementary School, in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) – Panabo City Police Station, conducted an awareness lecture today, October 15, 2026, on Handling Cases of Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE) Involving Minors.

Facilitated by personnel from the PNP Panabo City Police Station, through the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), the activity aimed to raise awareness among parents and teachers about recognizing potential risks, promoting responsible parental guidance, encouraging early intervention, and understanding the proper reporting and handling of concerns involving children who may be vulnerable to extremist influence.

Through this initiative, PNP and Rizal Elementary School continues to strengthen its commitment to child protection by fostering collaboration among the school, parents, and law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for every learner.

Strengthening collaboration, promoting transparency, and fostering shared responsibility!

The teaching and non-teaching personnel of Rizal Elementary School gathered for a productive and meaningful meeting held at the newly repaired School Feeding Center and presided over by the School Principal, Johanna P. Linterna.

The meeting focused on upcoming school activities, important updates, operational concerns, and other matters essential to ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of quality education and school services.

NURTURING THE SPIRIT, EMPOWERING EVERY TEACHER!

What makes a great teacher? Beyond knowledge and skills is a heart guided by faith, a spirit grounded in purpose, and a commitment to treating everyone with dignity, respect, and equality.

As part of our Teachers’ Month Celebration, we held a meaningful Learning Action Cell (LAC) Session on Spiritual Enrichment – Gender and Development (GAD), emphasizing the importance of holistic growth, spiritual well-being, gender sensitivity, and inclusivity in the teaching profession.

The session provided an opportunity for teachers to reflect, reconnect with their values, and strengthen their commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all.

Indeed, teaching is not just about shaping minds; it is also about touching hearts, inspiring lives, and making a difference through compassion, understanding, and love.

May we continue to grow not only as educators but also as individuals who lead with faith, serve with purpose, and champion equality in everything we do.
