Duty Free Philippines Corporation concluded the National Women's Month Celebration with the Women-Led Community-Based Tourism Organization Support Program on Friday, March 27, at PHACTO in Malolos, Bulacan.

This inspiring gathering empowered Punique's women artisans, celebrating their masterful Puni creations and elevating their vital contributions to community growth and sustainable tourism. It created a nurturing environment for women, underscoring the Corporation's dedication to gender equality and empowerment.

Last Thursday, April 10, the Women-Based Community-Based Tourism Organization Support Program was successfully held in Taal, Batangas.

The event focused on empowering women embroiderers of Burdang Taal and strengthening their roles in community, showcasing their potential to enrich local tourism while fostering a safe space for women. This activity was part of Duty Free Philippines Corporation's celebration of National Women's Month, highlighting its commitment to promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.

DFPC’s Free Beauty and Wellness Day on March 26, 2025, was conducted in celebration of the 2025 National Women’s Month.

The event honored women’s contributions through free wellness activities, reflecting the month’s focus on gender equality and inclusive progress. Employees engaged in rejuvenating experiences to prioritize self-care, reflecting the broader advocacy for policies and initiatives that empower women in economic, social, and cultural spheres. By integrating wellness with the celebration, DFPC reinforced its commitment to supporting women’s well-being as part of a collective effort toward a gender-equal society.

The DFPC GAD Focal Point System has attended a 3-day Gender Analysis (GA), GA Tools and Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) Training with Dr. Rowena Navera at the DFPC Training Room last March 4,5, and 7 of 2025. The training aimed to equip the participants with the tools necessary to identify gender gaps, promote gender mainstreaming, and ensure gender responsiveness in their respective divisions.

The training covered key concepts and principles of Gender and Development (GAD), gender mainstreaming, and gender analysis frameworks. Participants learned to apply the HGDG tool, linking its results to GAD planning and budgeting, and to conceptualize appropriate GAD strategies.
