BEHIND EVERY NUMBER, A STORY UNFOLDS. 🩺🏔️
As the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) 2026 officially comes to a close, it is easy to look at the graphs, target percentages, and final tallies as simple metrics on a dashboard.
But data doesn't tell the whole story.
Behind every tally mark, every batch code, and every child vaccinated was a Health Worker who fought through extreme odds to make sure no child was left behind:
🌊 Rivers Crossed: Carrying cold boxes over rushing currents, keeping life-saving vaccines at the perfect temperature against all elements.
⛰️ Mountainous Hikes: Trekking for hours under scorching heat or sudden downpours just to reach isolated sitios at the top of the ridges.
🚜 Muddy Roads: Navigating slippery, unpaved terrain on foot or on the back of a habal-habal—slipping, sliding, but always getting back up.
🏡 Door-to-Door Endurance: Patiently explaining, listening, reassuring anxious parents, and comforting brave little toddlers.
To our Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, Health Staff, and selfless Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs)—you are the true beating heart of the Healthcare System.
The numbers achieved during MR-SIA 2026 are not just statistics; they represent lives protected, outbreaks prevented, and a safer, healthier future for our children.
Thank you for your untiring service, sacrifice, and commitment to Universal Health Care! 🫡❤️
