🔢🧺 EXCITING NUMERACY ACTIVITY: OPEN THE BASKET GAME! 🎯

Another exciting learning activity was conducted after the flag-raising ceremony at Dannal Elementary School—the “Open the Basket Game!”

The activity provided our learners with a fun and interactive way to develop and strengthen their numeracy skills, particularly in counting, number recognition, and basic mathematical thinking.

Through games and active participation, our learners were able to learn while having fun. The activity also encouraged confidence, enthusiasm, and cooperation among the pupils.

Dannal Elementary School continues to promote health, wellness, and an active lifestyle through our regular Zumba Dance Activity every Tuesday and Thursday.

The activity brings together teachers and learners in an enjoyable and energetic exercise session. Through dancing and movement, everyone gets the opportunity to stay active, relieve stress, and develop healthy habits.

This activity also strengthens teamwork, camaraderie, and school spirit, while making physical activity fun and engaging for everyone. 💪😊

📚✨ LITERACY ACTIVITY: SPELLING BEE ✨📚

As part of the school’s Reading Program, Dannal Elementary School conducted a Spelling Bee after the Flag Raising Ceremony to promote literacy, and enhance spelling skills.

The activity was participated in by learners from Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, creating an enjoyable and meaningful opportunity to learn through healthy competition.

📚 IN-SERVICE TRAINING (INSET)

Dannal Elementary School successfully conducted its In-Service Training (INSET) to strengthen teachers’ knowledge, skills, and professional competencies and to support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices.

The training featured meaningful sessions facilitated by our dedicated speakers:

🔹 Innovation Proposal
Speaker: Ma’am Paz Comawal (School head)
The session focused on developing and presenting innovation proposals that address identified needs and challenges in the school. Teachers were guided on how to formulate practical and relevant innovations that can contribute to improved school programs and learner outcomes.

🔹 Advanced Leadership and Management Theories
Speaker: Ma’am Alinya Angitag
The session discussed advanced concepts and theories in leadership and management. It emphasized effective decision-making, collaboration, strategic planning, and leadership practices that can help teachers and school personnel contribute to the achievement of school goals.

🔹 Learner-Centered Strategies
Speaker: Ma’am Joana Ambatali
The session highlighted the importance of placing learners at the center of the teaching-learning process. Teachers were encouraged to apply learner-centered approaches that recognize learners’ needs, interests, abilities, experiences, and individual differences.

The INSET provided an opportunity for teachers to learn, share ideas, reflect on their practices, and strengthen their professional competencies. Through continuous professional development, Dannal Elementary School remains committed to providing quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.

📌 SPTA MEETING | Dannal Elementary School

Dannal Elementary School successfully conducted its SPTA Meeting, presided over by the SPTA Secretary, Ms. Lyngie Castañeda.

The meeting started with a prayer led by Ptr. Rhey Pimentel.

The following agenda were discussed:

• School Activities and Programs
• Updates on School Programs and Projects – presented by our School Head, Ma’am Paz G. Comawal
• School Feeding Program – presented by our coordinator, Ma’am Lyn D. Battalao
• Gulayan sa Paaralan and School Cleanliness – presented by our Brigada Coordinator, Ma’am Alinya Angitag. She also presented the list of volunteers and donors who extended their support and donations for the school’s ongoing projects.
• Child Protection Policy (CPP) – presented by our CPP Coordinator, Ma’am Karen Joy Sagaydoro
• SPTA Financial Report – presented by our Treasurer, Ms. Marissa Rombaoa

The meeting provided an opportunity for the school and parents to share updates, discuss important matters, and strengthen their partnership for the welfare and success of our learners.
