Ngayong Local Government Month, ating balikan kung paano nakatalaga sa bawat antas ng pamahalaang lokal ang paghahatid ng mga pangunahing serbisyo at pasilidad sa komunidad.

Sa ilalim ng Section 17 ng Republic Act No. 7160 o Local Government Code of 1991, nakatalaga ang iba’t ibang basic services and facilities sa Province, City/Municipality, at Barangay, alinsunod sa kanilang mga tungkulin at saklaw.

Kabilang dito ang mga serbisyong pangkalusugan, social welfare, agrikultura, imprastraktura, sanitation, at iba pang pangunahing serbisyo at pasilidad na tumutugon sa pangangailangan ng mga komunidad.

The AWSPSA is a Government of the Philippines project supported by the World Bank, with an implementation period from 2026 to 2031. The project is being implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the DILG and covers the Provinces of Bohol, Sulu, and Surigao del Norte.

Under AWSPSA, Component 3 focuses on institutional reforms and capacity building to strengthen the capacity of local governments, water service providers, and DILG, and support improved water and sanitation governance and service delivery.

The EME aims to obtain market feedback for the proposed Consultancy Services for Component 3. At this stage, DILG seeks to better understand what the market can offer for this type of engagement, including the capabilities and expertise available, the relevant experience that consulting firms can bring, and the different approaches that may be considered for the consultancy.

It will also provide an opportunity for DILG to engage with prospective consulting firms and gather their perspectives on the proposed engagement.

Bilang pagtalima sa Presidential Proclamation No. 63, s. 1992, ipinagdiriwang ng Kagawaran ng Interyor at Pamahalaang Lokal (DILG) ang Local Government Month ngayong Oktubre!

Ngayong buwan, hindi lamang natin ginugunita ang Local Government Week (ikalawang linggo ng Oktubre) at ang Local Government Day (Oktubre 10)—binibigyang-pugay din natin ang bawat punong barangay, myembro ng sanggunian, alkalde, gobernador, at kawani ng gobyerno na walang sawang naglilingkod sa ating mga komunidad.

Mula barangay hanggang sa kapitolyo, ang inyong sipag at malasakit ang tunay na pundasyon ng isang matatag at maunlad na bansa.

Ang Manila Bay Clean-up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation Program (MBCRPP) ay programa ng pamahalaan na naglalayong linisin, rehabilitahin, at pangalagaan ang Manila Bay at mga tributaries nito. Nakatuon ito sa Liquid Waste Management, Solid Waste Management, at Informal Settler Families (ISF).

Katuwang ng DILG ang mga LGU at iba pang ahensya sa pag-monitor ng compliance sa pamamagitan ng LGU Compliance Assessment, onsite inspections, at quarterly validation ng mga ulat gamit ang Manila BAYanihan Data Capture Form (MB-DCF) Online System. Layunin nitong mapalakas ang koordinasyon at maisulong ang mas malinis at ligtas na Manila Bay.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region IV-A convened its 3rd Quarter Communication and Information Committee (CIC) Meeting, bringing together the Regional CIC and Provincial CICs to strengthen the Department’s unified approach to communication and information dissemination across CALABARZON.

The quarterly meeting provided an avenue to discuss and align initiatives on social media management, information dissemination, creative productions, and other communication efforts that amplify the Department’s programs, accomplishments, and advocacies.

DILG IV-A continues to build a more responsive and cohesive communication network—transforming information into meaningful public engagement and bringing the Department’s message closer to the communities it serves.
