Yesterday, March 25, a fire incident affected a total of 119 families in Barangay 23, leaving many of our fellow residents displaced and in urgent need of assistance. Several families lost their homes, personal belongings, and daily necessities.

In line with this, we are launching a Donation Drive for the Fire Victims of Brgy. 23 to provide immediate relief and support to the affected families. We humbly ask for your kindness and generosity through in-kind or monetary donations.

We are currently accepting the following donations:

Canned goods, instant noodles, biscuits, bread, ready-to-eat meals, bottled water

2. Sleep & House Essentials
Mats, pillows and bedsheets, electric fans, flashlights and batteries, basic kitchen utensils

Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrush, sanitary napkins and diapers, alcohol, tissue, and wipes

4. Clothing & Personal Needs
New or gently used clothes (for adults and children), undergarments, towels and blankets, slippers

Napag-usapan din ang mga kinakailangang hakbang at paghahanda kaugnay ng nalalapit na Katipunan ng Kabataan Assembly, alinsunod sa DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-012. Patuloy ang aming layunin na maisulong ang maayos, organisado, at makabuluhang paglilingkod para sa kabataan ng Barangay 23.

Matagumpay na naisagawa ng Sangguniang Kabataan ng Barangay 23 ang regular na pagpupulong kung saan tinalakay ang mahahalagang usapin kaugnay ng pamamahala, pagpaplano, at pagpapatupad ng mga programa para sa kabataan.

Ang pagpupulong na ito ay patunay ng aming pangako sa maayos, malinaw, at makabuluhang pamamahala. Sa pamamagitan ng masusing pagpaplano at pagsunod sa umiiral na batas at regulasyon, layunin ng SK na mas mapalakas ang mga programang tunay na tutugon sa pangangailangan at adhikain ng kabataan ng Barangay 23.

Noong 𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝟮𝟰 𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, opisyal na nanumpa at nanungkulan si 𝐊𝐠𝐠. 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐌. 𝐃𝐞 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 bilang bagong 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻. Sa pagharap sa responsibilidad na ito, dala niya ang paninindigan para sa tapat na pamamahala, malinaw na direksyon, at makabuluhang paglilingkod para sa kapakanan ng kabataan.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay 23 successfully convened its First Regular Session focused on Planning for Calendar Year 2026 Activities, held yesterday, January 11, at the Barangay Hall.

Key agenda items deliberated during the session included:
• Identification of priority youth issues and needs for 2026
• Proposed Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) for CY 2026
• Target beneficiaries, timelines, and expected outcomes

As we welcome the new year, the Sangguniang Kabataan recognizes the importance of early, participatory, and forward-looking planning to ensure that youth programs are responsive, inclusive, and impactful. This session marks the beginning of our collective efforts to design meaningful activities that address the needs and aspirations of the youth of Barangay 23 in 2026.

Last November 25, the 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟯 was proudly represented by SK Kagawad Erine De Jesus at the 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 held at Megatrade Hall 2, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. Together with youth leaders from across the country, we reaffirmed our commitment to building safer, more respectful, and more compassionate communities for all.

The forum highlighted the power of young people to spark meaningful change, reminding us that ending VAW begins with awareness, responsibility, and everyday choices rooted in respect. Speakers emphasized that VAW is not only a women’s issue but a human issue, calling on young men to model healthy masculinity, speak up against harmful norms, and champion equality in schools, communities, and peer groups. With Filipinos spending nearly nine hours online daily, the discussion also underscored the need for digital literacy, online safety, responsible AI use, and collective action against digital violence such as sextortion and harassment. Participants were further encouraged to become upstanders, youth who take safe, informed, and compassionate action when witnessing abuse, strengthening peer support, and cultivating a culture of courage so no one remains silent in the face of harm.

As we take part in the 𝟏𝟖-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐀𝐖, the SK Barangay 23 Council stands united in advocating for gender equality, safer digital and physical spaces, and empowering youth to choose respect, kindness, accountability, and action.

Layunin ng pagtitipong ito na ipabatid sa mga residente at ng kabataan ang mga kasalukuyan at planong programa, proyekto, at aktibidad ng Barangay at SK Council, at upang hikayatin ang kanilang aktibong partisipasyon sa mga gawaing pangkaunlaran ng barangay.

Ito ay isang pagkakataon upang maging kabahagi sa paghubog ng mas progresibong pamahalaang pangkabataan at pangbarangay.
