PAF NEWS | PHILIPPINES-MALAYSIA DEFENSE TIES HIGHLIGHTED THROUGH PGAT CONFERMENT

The Philippines-Malaysia defense relationship was highlighted through the conferment of the Darjah Panglima Gagah Angkatan Tentera (PGAT), or Honorary Malaysian Armed Forces Order of Valor First Degree, to the Commanding General, Philippine Air Force (PAF), Lieutenant General Arthur M Cordura PAF, in Malaysia. The distinction, conferred by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, King of Malaysia and Supreme Commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces, recognizes the outstanding contributions of senior foreign military leaders toward advancing bilateral relations, defense diplomacy, and regional cooperation.

The enduring defense partnership between the Philippines and Malaysia extends to the PAF and Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) through bilateral exchanges, training activities, and humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) cooperation. These confidence-building activities strengthen military-to-military ties and contribute to greater peace, security, and stability in the region.

PAF NEWS | PAF PERSONNEL UPHOLD AFP CODE OF CONDUCT

In commemoration of the 36th Anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Code of Conduct, personnel of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), led by the Acting Commanding General, PAF, Major General Pablo E Rustria Jr PAF, participated in the Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony held on October 5, 2026, at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. Similar ceremonies were conducted at PAF bases and units nationwide.

Following the ceremony, Acting CG, PAF delivered the message of General Antonio G Nafarrete PA, Chief of Staff, AFP, emphasizing that the AFP Code of Conduct must guide the daily performance of duties, exercise of authority, decision-making, and treatment of the people the military serves. The occasion also featured an awarding ceremony recognizing PAF personnel who demonstrated exemplary conduct and dedication in the performance of their duties.

The observance underscored that ethical conduct is fundamental to effective military service, shaping how personnel carry out their responsibilities and how the institution earns and sustains the trust of the Filipino people. Through every duty, decision, and action, the PAF remains committed to upholding the AFP Code of Conduct and serving the nation with integrity and professionalism.

PAF NEWS | PAF, JASDF COMMENCE DOSHIN BAYANIHAN 6-26 IN CEBU

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the 航空自衛隊 Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) commenced the 6th iteration of Doshin Bayanihan 6-26 at Brigadier General Benito N Ebuen Air Base (BGBNEAB), Lapu Lapu City, Mactan Cebu, on October 5, 2026, following the arrival of the JASDF delegation on October 4.

Running from October 4 to 9, the bilateral exercise aims to enhance interoperability and strengthen both air forces’ capabilities in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR), focusing on coordinated actions in responding to disasters and emergencies.

Through Doshin Bayanihan 6-26, the PAF and JASDF reinforce bilateral cooperation and advance their collective capacity to deliver timely and effective disaster response.

PAF NEWS | Command Operational Visits Begin at WAS and CERAB

PAF Leadership kicks off a series of Command Operational Visits to all PAF bases beginning in Wallace Air Station and Col Ernesto Rabina Air Base on October 1 and 2, 2026. The visits focused on evaluating operational readiness, assessing unit requirements, and ensuring the welfare of personnel.

Led by the Commanding General, Lieutenant General Arthur M Cordura PAF, air force leadership identified key support needs to sustain mission performance and highlighted the importance of maintaining capable units and facilities. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure the PAF remains ready and resilient in its commitment to national defense.
